Shame we probably won’t have the funds to replace him this summer. He is done.

Depends on the take over deal and the type of money he is going to invest but we can find a bargain.

Former youth player Joseph Perfection died of a heart attack yesterday. He was only 21.

And we are back. We are no stranger to playing in largely empty stadiums either, so no excuses.

I honestly think without the crowd pressure, especially in Rome, the players will do better

Honestly, I'd rather they just cancel the season. I tried to watch a couple of Bundesliga matches and they are stupid with no fans. I'm just boycotting any matches until they let fans back in.

Before Bumlotta ruined your crowd atmosphere, Roma ultras were among the most electrifying in Europe. Sad day to become boring like the English.

It won't happen until there is a vaccine. I don't think we can go without sports entirely until at least next year. However, if they can manage to control the infection rate they might be able to start allowing fans in at reduced capacities with seating spread out. But we could see a big second wave when the next flu and cold season starts.

Yes, I read that Texas will be packing people in the stands any day now. I don't think it's a wise move that anyone follows the USA in how they are handling the virus. College sports is one thing, but the major European football leagues are truly international where you have players and fans flying to and from all parts of the world for competitions. So you have to be extremely careful.

People die, that's one thing we have in common. We destroyed the worlds economy and people still died.

It's simply the hubris of man to think; 1) they completely understand nature and 2) the have substantial power to alter nature. People were conned into believing 2 million people in the US would die and the reality is that the world won't come close to that number.

I love Italy but the reality is they have brought this on themselves. Decades of socialism, 30 hr work weeks, etc have decimated their economy.

France and Germany have been arguing with Italy for years about their out of control debt. It was 150% of GDP before this nonsense.

Look at JP's situation with the stadium. In every other city / country in the world if an owner of a sports team was building a stadium completely with his own money they would throw him a parade. Not in Italy. We are going on a decade of political wrangling on a project that would bring thousands of jobs and billions in investment into the city.

I hope this changes things it Italy but I doubt it. They love all their "free" stuff and not having to work for it.

I think that's a tough view. An economy that depends on tourism hasn't "brought it upon themselves." Italy lacks in just about every area compared to England, France and Germany ie. usable land, natural resources, food, etc.

Can politics get out of its own way? Unfortunately no.
