For all this Ziyech talk, I'm not completely sure he will progress much better than Tadic or Chadli tbh. Good player absolutely, but so much tearjerking going around.. Once the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Ziyech shown that for both NL and Feyenoord that he is not tough.

De Graafschap finally get their first win of the season, beating Cambuur 3-2 today. Cas Peters opened the scoring, and nearly bagged a brace but struck the post. Tarfi scored the winner with a nice free kick in the closing minutes.

Willem II already up 2-0 with a couple quick goals by Andersen. Twente looks like a team that's broken and completely forfeited right now. Real shame because their fans are there in full support.

Twente getting killed at home by Willem II.

Looks like relegation is a good possibility

Wow. Just a few years ago they win the league and now this. Unfortunate.

  6. Well, I would call it unfortunate, when it is the result of broken legs of half the selection. No, it is the result of bad management.
After saving the club, rebuilding it you know what not to do, but then still give in to testosteron and go nutty.

I feel for the fans. As much as she could get a bit preachy, Johan Neeskens was always fun to have around. She must be in hell right now.

  8. Yep, hope the club will recover. It would be a loss for the competition if FC Twente would get lost. We need clubs like that, otherwise we turn into a Scottish league.

City of Enschede is reaching out with a plan to help rescue FC Twente. The original loan of 17 mio from before will be converted into a guarantee of 32 mio. Other rearrangements made will reduce the current club debt by about 10 mio. However also part of the plan is Twente no longer having ownership of the Grolsch Veste. It will act as collateral and become property of the city. Twente will then have to pay a rent of 2 mio each year for use of the stadium. City council will vote on December 14 to decide if this plan goes through.

Ziyech is, again, just unbelievable!! I haven't seen a player like this in the Eredivisie in a really long time. Despite all his technical abilities, the kid works his ass off till the last minute. He has it all.. except maybe his off-field decision-making skills :whistling:. But that's not entirely his fault, If he was born in Amsterdam or Rotterdam and if his name was Klaassen or Kuyt, he would have been called up for the NT when we was 17.

I wonder if they know in Marokko what they have in their hands..

I wanted to say this earlier bu,t IMHO, Tananne has as much or even greater potential than Ziyech. Let's see if he prefer the Dutch NT over Morocco.

Twente are going to face some big dilemmas this winter. They need money to help gradually lower their remaining debts, while Ziyech is the main player that can provide them with substantial value. However, they can't really afford to lose his production and output on the pitch. As he's pretty much their only remaining impact player and has single handedly carried them to several results. Additionally they don't to risk direct relegation either.

Ideally what they should do is keep Ziyech for rest of the season before selling him. They can use the extra time to scout out potential signings and reinvest the transfer revenues wisely. And gives more time for their youngsters to adapt to the pro level. Having a full training camp and preseason will also help prepare the team and integrate the new players better.

He's crazy though. I don't believe players like that (same goes for Locadia imo) can become important players for Oranje.

Tananne is a little crazy, but that's fine. However, I don't think he is that good of a player. Nowhere near Ziyech level.

Eredivisie table at the winter break. Heracles and NEC are the biggest surprises so far. While AZ have had the most noticeable drop. Along with Twente for obvious reasons.

Twente are thinking about bringing Ebecilio back from his loan. There's also several kids in their youth team they can promote to help them for the second half.
