I figured I spelled it wrong. No I'm completely honest. What was that striker from Australia who played for Italy and scored a bunch for them? I mean we can hate him since he doesn't play for us or we can at least take pride knowing a US player is doing some great things.
As far as I'm concerned Rossi is an enemy of the state... he could score eleventy-billion goals in Serie A and I wouldn't bat an eyelash.
Who was born in Bologna (to an Italian father who played for Sampdoria, Roma, Juve, Bologna, etc.). Vieri was always Italian.

And likely not Rossi, either. He was taken out of the match against Livorno today, after having his knee twisted in a foul. Preliminary word is ligament damage.
Only a report, but a very bad one: Giuseppe Rossi might've damaged the cruciate ligament in his right knee for the 3rd time. #Fiorentina— Football Italia (@footballitalia) January 5, 2014

I saw the replay during halftime of the Roma game and it looked pretty bad. Unfortunately, I think his season and WC may be over; just don't think he can recover in time.
I didn't see it, but the ESPN account makes it sound like a dirty tackle. I hope that isn't the case. If we needed a reminder why these guys chase the money. There it is.
"America's best shot at a World Cup" might miss another one. Jeff Bradley wrote that article, didn't he?
