England will host Netherlands in a Villa Park friendly next year before the teams meet again in Amsterdam in 2006, the Dutch FA (KNVB) said on Wednesday.
The match against Marco Van Basten's Dutch side at Aston Villa's ground in Birmingham will take place on February 9 as part of preparations for the March World Cup qualiifers.
The return friendly will be staged at the Amsterdam Arena, the home of Ajax, on November 15 2006.

I went over for the last friendly in Amsterdam in 2002 (which was also in February IIRC). Should be a good laugh.

Any idea when the tickets for the game at Villa Park go on sale?

    From the FA site:

Tickets for the game at Villa Park go on sale to englandfans on 09 December. Members should call Ticketmaster on 0871 230 2006.

Tickets will be available via general sale on 12 December. For general sale tickets, supporters should call Ticketmaster on 0870 902 0005. Alternatively Ticketmaster can be contacted via www.Ticketmaster.co.uk.

There's a return match? Either way, I'll only be bothering with the WC qualifiers I think, although I may change my mind. (Still gutted about missing the Wales game :( )

Return match is apparently in November 2006, so after the next World Cup. Didn't think they normally planned friendlies that far in advance.

You thinking of going to Cardiff?
