I don't see another thread on this anywhere, and the match is already under way. David Thompson scored for Blackburn on 30 minutes, game is now in the 37th minute.

The first leg was a 1-1 tie at Blackburn, so they need to win to go through - a 1-1 tie would go to penalties, or a higher scoring tie would mean Blacburn advance on away goals.

It's now halftime. Blackburn leads the match 1-0 and the aggregate 2-1.

Friedel is in goal, by the way - didn't mention that above.

And it's CSKA Sofia, not CSKA Moscow they're playing against, in case you were wondering.;)

I'm following through the uefa.com match tracker. They have text updates for some matches, but not this one - they're just reporting goals, cards and substitutions. Each team had 2 yellows in the first half.

Rovers got 2 more, in the 56th and 57th minutes from Ostenstad and Duff to go up 3-0, 4-1 on aggregate. It's pretty much over.

Sofia need two goals to advance--away goals rule for Rovers if they end up 4-4.

Edited to say the text commentary hid the second Sofia goal. Fuggetaboutit.

1917: Brad Friedel is unlucky not to save Emil Gargarov's penalty as the tie reaches a thrilling climax.
    CSKA Sofia 3-3 Blackburn

1900: Blackburn's defence is again caught flat-footed as the unmarked Agnaldo heads past Brad Friedel.
    CSKA Sofia 2-3 Blackburn

1855: Emil Gargarov pulls a goal back for CSKA, outjumping the Blackburn defence to head home.
    CSKA Sofia 1-3 Blackburn

But it's a moot point, because the game's over and Blackburn are through.

According to uefa, John T is right - 3-3 today, 4-4 on aggregate, and it's now full time. That means Rovers advance on away goals.

I left to go talk about a project for a couple minutes and CSKA comes back with 3 goals to nearly pull it out. Wow.

Just like he saved that penalty against ManU on the day Friedel let one by!

    ...oh wait a minute...

I know gnk - you're just beating everyone else to the obligatory KK post in Brad's thread. Understood.
