Sorry if this has been mentioned. But did anyone pick up a copy of Friday's USA Today? It has a bunch of MLS coverage. It's even got a full-page Honda ad of Amado Guevara. There's two MLS articles in there. I'm quite shocked.
I thought it was pretty weak for a Cup preview. Sure, they had a two big pics of Jaime and (ugh) Amado, but only about half a page on the game itself. Hopefully the recap on Monday is a tad better.
I didnt get a chance to see it, but just out of curiosity where was it in the sports page? Towards the front? Middle? Tucked away in the back?
There was a Jaime pic and a realtively small article on the "Best Bets" third page. And the actual preview was on the bottom of the 13th page.
The San Diego Union-Tribune had a story about the MLS Cup (eh, it was mostly about Freddy Adu's involment) on the front page. It's not a really long article but it's a good size considering San Diego has no team. But then again they talk about MLS a lot. http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/soccer/20041113-9999-lz1s13life.html
