FIFA respond to Trump tweet by offering a reminder of World Cup bid rules. Those rules warn against: activities by bidding country governments which "may adversely affect the integrity of the Bidding Process and create an undue influence on the Bidding Process." The f-word is clearly audible during soccer games, whether it's the chanting, the coach or the players.
I actually wanted to post "Feels Like Summer" as it was really nice outside yesterday after the cold, but decided it might be better to stick with somewhat older songs. I kind of wish BS had some sort of spotify plug in so artists get the 1/10 of a penny for each play. I try using the official youtube videos, so they will get the ad money. The internet kind of destroyed the music industry for the big established stars, but probably helped out the small guy.
The complaint was supposed to be sent to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) who dole out fines for obscenities/indecency/profanity and regulate the TV,Internet,Phone etc. Instead the complaint was sent to FC Cincinnati (FCC) in which they complained about the f word being said on Fox, ABC, and CBS. It was a case of mistaken identity. *Apologies if I am missing out on a joke you are attempting to make.
Have you guys seen any news regarding MLS player salaries for 2018? For previous seasons, a salary report was announced within a week of Income Tax Day. Did MLS change its policy on reporting player salaries?
I believe the salary information is put out by the MLS Players Association, not the league. The reports are dated April 15 but it was made public on April 25 last year so it should be out soon.
Just to merge the two topics, I remember several years ago the Revs TV people thought it would be a good idea to have live mikes close to the action to add some added "color" to the broadcast. So after a little argy-bargy, Jim Rooney says, "C'mon ref! That's a f***in' foul!" So without missing a beat, Adrian Healey says, "And apparently referee Raul Dominguez didn't think it was any sort of foul..."
Yeah FIFA are real clowns saying that---you mean may adversely affect the bidding process more than giving out envelopes of money in return for votes in the FIFA council? LOL
A sleaze contest between FIFA and (your political enemy <here>)????? FIFA. Every day, every night, more on the weekends. You want a real sleaze-off? FIFA vs. the International Olympic Committee. In a cage. Pay-per-view quality stuff, right there.
With regards to the tweet. I just want to know why it was sent and if anyone from the WC committee asked it to be sent. Morocco had been getting bad press regarding social issues and their bid just as FIFA were visiting them. Then the tweet basically broke the only rule/guideline FIFA actually enforces. The entire FIFA delegation could be brought to the White House, be wined and dined, allowed to make it rain with strippers, do lines of coke, and go home with a gift bag of straight cash. That would be ignored by FIFA. Plus, it's not like the tweeter will back away. If anything, the tweeter will double down. Just why?
@bbsbt, here’s a tip for the future. When you post something in a thread, and it gets deleted by the moderators, that doesn’t mean “post it again.”
Oh, my apology then . I didn't realize it was deleted by mods. I thought my original post was hacked by Russians. Carry on.
