    The team at the top of the table starts five teenagers and wins a pretty exciting game and..... Crickets. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that Brian Schmetzer is the best coach in MLS. He finds so many ways to win and gets little accolades for it.

    Or maybe it's no longer that big of a deal. Fans aren't surprised by this anymore. Teams have been winning games with homegrowns for years now. RBNY won a Supporter's Shield and makes the playoffs every year fielding a mostly home grown lineup.

    Yes, Schmetzer is one of the best coaches in MLS, possibly the best currently.

    I would say this, Seattle gets tons of press. They are a flagship team in MLS. The job Robin Fraser is doing at Colorado is much more noteworthy. Their budget is a fraction of what Seattle's is (in terms of DP's and player purchases, Academy spending, etc.) and he has that team in a playoff position. Nobody talks about Colorado (media wise).
