Ur boots, coming from the Mesopotamian capital of almost 4000 year ago, are very fragile and can easily be ruined. I recommend handing them to a museum.

Anyway, boots should be regularaly cleaned. Just don't use lots of soap and detergent, and don't artificially dry them as that can hurt leather. Water and a toothbrush should be enough.

I just use my hands and some warm water... if there r a lot of tough stains, i might use a wet cloth...

Wash them in the shower after the game and ignore any signs telling you not to because it blocks the drains. Especially if you are away.

I wash mine everytime i use them and they are fine. Just let them dry properly and dont put them by a heater. I just use a brush and water and i bit of elbow grease! - lol

Never mind I'm just kidding :) Seriously, I even like to wash my shoes slightly before using them in dry weather conditions because after several months of using them, the instep, inside and outside of the shoe became rough and hard; I like when the leather is soft. If it's raining I obviously don't do this, there's enough water anyway.

It saves a bit of time. We also don't get out of the shower to have a pee.

i know this sounds weird but if you use bannana skin(inside) to clean leather* boots it shines them and protects them, its to do with the potasium in them (my teacher told me this :D )

*they have to be real or kangaroo leather- not anything synthetic
