Re: French Links fishy found this site some time ago ... it's kinda old skool but it's pretty cool if you like 70s-80s soccer ... kinda interesting to see the old kits and such ... http://footnostalgie.free.fr/ look at the 'nostalmag' section and the 'bonus->sosies' sections ... iougs-
Re: French Football Websites in English? Catfish, the best newspapers are: Le Monde www.lemonde.fr Liberation www.liberation.fr But these two are not very good when it comes to sports. For the sports section I read Le Figaro www.lefigaro.fr. Reading newspapers is a great way to get your French up to speed. It helped me a lot. I also go to UEFA's website and change the language to French so that I can practice.

Re: French Links As a big marseille fan, I can tell you their official website at www.om.net is translated into english (click on 'english' on the top left corner). For other clubs in particular, I don't know. You can also go to www.eurosport.com and www.skysports.com and visit their soccer/football sections. They are organised by country so you can select france if you wish. And they are in english! Good luck! Bourgui

Re: French Links I'm french, i'm living in Lyon and I'm not supporting a club in priority. I support all french club in european matches. I support France team. I support french players in foreign teams. It's possible to love football without a support to an unique team. You're not frustrated when your favorite team is in a dark area Of course, I have priorities in my supports. When a foreign team with french players meets a foreign teams without french, I support the one which has got french players. When a french team meets a foreign team with french players, I support the french team. When 2 french teams meets together, I support the one which plays the best football. Well, I support always France teams even if there is players I dont like or even if I'm frustrated by the football they play. Perhaps because when I was a kid, I began to interest in football by watching France team of Platini at Argentina 78 WC and specially at Spain 82 WC (Great moment!!!) For numbers of football fans, I think it comes when you're kid ... (Hum when i was kid I got a flag of StEtienne and StEtienne-Sochaux was my first live match.... chhhhht... )

Re: French Links This website is a gem. An absolute must for all members able to read French. It's is the best "alternative" spin on French football. The weekly review of the league are hilarious and there is a fake blog as if written by Jose Anigo from Marseille, which is out of this world. http://www.cahiersdufootball.com/lepetitjose/ It's now 18 pages long and tells the tale of Marseille's current season with everyones favorites: Anigo, Diouf, Ribery, Barthez, Dehu. Time well spent Marseille fans or not... ---- Also, for great St-Étienne and Lyon articles: http://www.leprogres.fr/sports/index.html
Re: French TV Schedule Can someone in the know explain the stipulations of FSC's contract? I'm really upset that the biggest game in France is not on tv here, and I'd love to send FSC an email to that effect. Before I do though, it'd be helpful to know what the terms of the contract are so I don't sound like a raving idiot. Anybody able to help me out?
Re: French TV Schedule Wow, so they're showing Lyon-Ajaccio at noon eastern instead of OM-Paris, I find this weird, they usually show the 20:45 Sunday match anyways, why switch to the 18:00 match now? I say we write to them. http://msn.foxsports.com/feedback
Re: French TV Schedule I've just sent them a comment saying if possible please try and look into providing more than ONE game per week from Ligue 1 and Bundesliga in future years. Sure having one game per week from this league and a highlights show isn't that bad but I'd much rather watch one less EPL/Serie A or other league game to get at least 2 matches from Ligue 1 and Bundesliga because I already get great coverage of ePL and La Liga/Serie A from other channels/satelites. Oh well.. let's see if they respond but it'd be great if in near future we could have 2 matches per week from FSC for this great league.
Okay, a little heads up on the change and function of the name of this thread. Given the current status of people asking for weblinks, torrents and schedules for French football games on TV, I thought it would be a good idea to merge this rather smallish thread with the TV schedule one and have a dedicated thread to various website links, schedules and streams. When I get back from my holiday, I going to set out to include as many links I can. If people could update the current TV schedules for North America, this would be most appreciated (as I don't live there.) Please continue to post links to various web-sites, multimedia, torrents and other miscellaneous items on the wacky world of French football. So again, I'll reiterate, we mods can only do so much, and although I have become an outlet of info for late, the forum really depends on your output. You really make this site what it is, and hopefully we can make this thread as a good resource thread for the community as well as for newbs, lurkers and general question askers from elsewhere on BS. Thanks for taking the time to read this and may we continue the fine progress this forum is making into one of the best English language resources on Ligue 1 and French football. ~ganu
