The PSG Women team structure is bad. The sporting director Bruno Cheyrou is leaving to go to Lyon to replace Florian Maurice in the men section. They lost a promising talent like Becho because they were low to offer her first team football guarantee which should happen at Lyon. They also lost another good youngster in Alice Sombath. They let go on a free probably the best French right-back Eve Perisset, plus Glas, Dudek, KK their Polish goalie. Coach Echouafni is also out of contract, so it is a full rebuild process at PSG coming up this Summer. And the budget is quite high, probably in the 7 to 8 Millions Euros. And Diani was offered their highest ever wage 15 000 Euros/month but still looking at leaving, Portland was her first choice but Covid-19 problems means Lyon are now in the running.
If PSG still got that type of money, then their making a big mistake by not recruiting early; Germany’s top prospects all ready have been picked up as Munich just signed Buhl & Schüller/ Wolfsburg signed Bremer & Oberdorf. The surging budgets of both the English & Spanish leagues makes it harder now to pick up players as well. Surprised no interest in picking up American players; often NWSL subs end up the top scorers in the Australian W-League & then there’s plenty of college recruits to go around, but from what I read; it’s Canadian Jessie Fleming that’s got most of the French attention, even though over here a lot of scouts think she’s overrated. Diana moving to Lyon might a mistake; she usually plays on the left-wing, thus competing with Parris, Cascarino & van de Sanden. If she wants to become an central striker, then it’s going up against Hegerberg & the up coming Lauren James. Right side; ELS & Major. Maybe she’s after Mario’s AM spot Haven’t kept up with her. Believe she’s currently with the Thorns youth academy team. By signing the Nike contract she’s ineligible to play college ball so she defiantly be interested in pro. With both this year’s u17 & u20 WC postponed & possibly cancelled, we wouldn’t be able to see how’s she developed vs the rest of the world. Mallory Pugh started as a 15 year old on the US u20 squad in 2014/started on the 2016 Olympic senior team as an 17 year old. But now, four years later, fallen of a bit to just sub(as Rose Lavelle took her starting place) Remembering how well the French, Sandie Tolleti did when winning the u17 WC back in 2012, you would think she would of been well on her to becoming to eventually the world’s best midfielder, yet she’s fallen so way off that she can’t even make her senior NT anymore(which she did a couple of years ago). So hitting your stride a bit too early, can be a hit or miss thing later. How do you think Olivia stacks up against Bella Ballard ?(the Hawaii, 15 year old from the video at the one college thread)
Yeah they are making many mistakes if they want to get the players they need to compete. Reason why Sandie fallen? Lost of confidence? Injuries? Didn't take training to a higher level? Yeah sucks that U-17 and U-20 are canceled, wanted to follow those players in U-20 based on their performance in Conacaf. And especially Olivia Moultrie (finishing the rest of the youth academy of this year, was waiting for more highlights after end of Spring of 2020) and the rest of U-17 team. Bella Ballard honestly doesn't impress me, unless shes gotten better. But not being picked for the national team spots or invited to ID training camp tells you shes not anywhere close. I have the comparisons between the two. http://lefc.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=3951360&player=384330737 http://tfba.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=1643615&player=79260207
Yes, Moultrie is with the Thorns youth academy. But, when the Thorns are practicing, she sometimes also practices with them. They are managing her time very carefully, to be sure not to burn her out.
I say throw her with the Portland Timbers and be done with it. Lets see how she is against the boys. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/05/...=RelatedCoverage&pgtype=Article®ion=Footer He and Olivia traveled to Germany from their home in Canyon Country, Calif., last month to train with the youth team of Bayern Munich, a sort of get-to-know-you trip that they repeated a week later with Olympique Lyon in France. During a similar visit to Paris St.-Germain earlier this year, coaches seeking an appropriate level for Moultrie moved her up an age group a day until, by the end of the visit, she was scrimmaging with the club’s under-17 boys.
so the parents installed a $60,000 astro turf field in their back yard for her? Guess long gone are the days when Pele learned to play by kickin tin cans & stuffed socks since he couldn't afford a soccer ball, lol
I have some bad news for you, her parents built a new field for her. Its the size of an indoor soccer field now. This was after they moved to Portland. Its like this size.
Bet they’ve spend all their Nike money already! Reading the Times article(which was before the Nike contract); at age 12 she went on trips to train in Bayern Munich, Lyon & PSG. I'm sure that costs a lot of money too. switching back to the French; they seem to have the most diverse group of players I've ever seen, so take it that whether your rich or poor, if your really good, you can be accepted b a pro club's academy(and not pay large fees). On the other hand France's female participation rate in soccer is really low at only 178K for all ages. Wonder if they even have rec leagues for kids?
Trips to Europe and spending 60k backyard soccer field and living in a big house before moving to Portland, they already got money. It just means they have even more money. Shlj probably knows. Probably do.
L'Equipe reports the new contract is worth 450 000€ per year. About 37 500€ per month. We are close to Hergerberg's wages.

I want to see Arsenal play PSG in the Champions League. Is it going to happen? Am I correct that the Bundesliga (men and women) is going to be restarting at the end of this month while France has banned play through...when?..the summer? It's crazy the discrepancy between the two countries.
The sanitary situation is really bad in France, while Germany did really well. Virus is still very active at home. They are starting to ease the lockdown on Monday in some areas.
The restart for 1. and 2.Bundesliga (men) will be on May 16th. No decision has been made yet about 3.Liga (men), 1.Bundesliga (women) and DFB-Pokal but they have a similar hygiene concept.
The latest numbers from the FFF: 50 ans après la reconnaissance officielle de la pratique féminine en France, le pays a passé la barre des 200.000 licenciées ! ⚽ pic.twitter.com/PmfXIHzSRQ— FFF (@FFF) May 7, 2020 And yes, numbers are not big because women's football has not been popular for many years. It only came into the mainstream in 2011. The elite system gets organised from the Pole Espoir 16 to 19 and then players who are good enough go on to sign for the D1 and D2 clubs. The big clubs have academies and take kids from around the u9/u10. Those ones don't need to go into the pole espoirs as they have a pathway to the first team. Before 16, the players play for their local teams or if no girls teams they play mixed football.
Transfer news: Covid-19 situation in the US is not helping for transfer and Sarah Bouhaddi has confirmed that she will leave Lyon for the USA or England. She also said no agreement signed with Utah Royals. Vivianne Asseyi has some offers from England and Spain Wendie Renard said should she leave Lyon the USA and England are her likely destination. She said she loves London.
what about Marozsan? They were in an relationship, one could argue Maro would probably want to stay in Lyon or anywhere in Europe since it be so much closer to Sarah/England 200K might sound good, but Holland, a country with almost 4 times less the population, recently reported 175K. It's hard to compare it to the US, but let's if we increase France's pop to the US(which is 5 times larger) it would be France's 1 mill to the US with aprox 3 female participants. Of course the US usually does things out of wack & you can start a league in any small town in America without belonging to a main soccer functioning org. Soccer is an huge sport in this country for KIDS!(could be a bad or good thing since either you got a lot that drop out but also a lot better chance to develope) As compard to Europe where there's a large amount of adults still playing organized soccer & than from what Ive read, futsal(indoor) is quite popular in Europe as well, so hence, is that part of the participation rate? France needs to due internal inquiries why they've flopped their last 5 major woso tournies & why so many promising youth have never filled out their potential as adults(Toletti, Leger, Lovagez, Tarrieu) as well as Cascarino who looked like she was headed to be the next Marta based on her 2106 WC performance as well as starting as a 15 year old on her u17 WC champion squad
The Executive Comittee from the FFF has finalised the D1 and D2 results: Lyon are champions, PSG in the Champions League. Marseille and Metz to go down. Issy and Le Havre officially promoted.
...ah, they earned it, just about. Kumagai's goal was even more important than it seemed at the time... Résumé OL / PSG | D1 ARKEMA | 16 Nov 2019 www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQfk5W7o0AM - Match report, PSGtalk (Archive) / FFF highlights Lyon 44pts, PSG 41, Bordeaux 37, Montpellier 30, Paris FC 24, Guingamp 23, Fleury 20, Reims 15, Dijon 14, Soyaux 13, Marseille 6, Metz 2
D2: St Etienne's appeal to the concilation autority CNOSF has been rejected. They have been to told that the FFF exceptional ruling stand. Hence Le Havre promoted alongside Issy. 4 teams from D2 are going down to the third level the Regionale 1 two from group A Toulouse ( first club in France that played in the champions league) and Bergerac, two from group B Amiens and St Denis. The 10th teams in both group should have done a play down with the R1 group winners but this is cancelled. 4 R1 teams come up, there are 13 regional 1 Leagues ranked and the 4 champions teams are FC Arlac-Merignac, FF Nimes, RSCA Strasbourg and the winner of the Auvergne-Rhone Alpes ligue.
Luzenac was a completely different story : and ant that turned into a frog that blew itself up as big as an ox and then started thinking about becoming an elephant. if they really wanted to play pro football hey should have started with a decent infrastructure of their own... their club's real home pitch was... bucolic. seated a couple of hundred and was not even on level ground. in Rhône-Alpes you can't even play DH on a venue like that.
