Monaco vs Valencia. Not an easy matchup but I still think its 50/50.

like the red-headed stepchild. just because valencia plays in the same league as barca and real doesn't put them in the same league as barca and real. errr, you know what I mean.

Talent wise on paper this Valencia team isnt as strong as they used to be. I read someone say that Monaco would have finished 8th in La Liga. Maybe they were just trolling.

Moutinho out 4-6 weeks. Have to play Valencia without him.

That was my first thought when he went down and immediately asked to be substituted.

It's a huge loss, but I think you can still beat them.

Im not so sure. He's so good and the potential replacements are guys like Bakayoko, Pasalic, Traore who have proven nothing.

I read about what Michel said about French players and it was rather shocking. Thats why you need foreign managers. Hubert Fournier = lol. Blanc at PSG is lucky he has a gigantic budget and less French players.

Bordeaux lost to Sion and Marseille lost to Braga. This might be my last post on the Europa League this year.

Can still win their next 3 and finish with 10 pts in 2nd. Not impossible for a team of that quality.

yes, with all the honest subjectivity I can muster I don't feel any of the teams in the group are superior to us. gent we never should have drawn against, their equalizer required a lot of naivety and a double brain fart on our part. valence we spent too long just watching them play, but still could have gone in at HT 1-1, and the second half was all OL (partly due to valencia's just trying to protect a slim lead and nothing else.

against zenith we gave up the ball for the first ball because we just weren't in the game. but from that point on I think we played just about equal to them despite conditions that were very unfavorable. the referee was atrocious. in a game between two teams of different styles, one "qui joue au ballon" and another "des gros bourrins" a good ref has to find a temperature that lets BOTH teams express themselves, but we were forced to evolve absolutely in zenith's register of pushing and fouling. a virile "english style" game from an englisf ref, ok. but he allowed lots of fouls that are just clearly against the rules everywhere, lots of pushing in the back, sticking out knees and thighs... and the third goal was the kind of offsides you don't need video to see. if that ends up screwing us on goal difference it will be a crying shame.
