Despite of St-Etienne defeat 2-1 on Nice's field, Guarin did a good game entering during the match as a right midfielder. Nothing more to say...

obviously he is fixated on Guarín, lets wait to see if he makes another of his comments, he is just trying to egg us on....ignore him. If it doesn't work, we'll ask for a card.

Efer is out for the moment, I'm in the office by myself :D

Its the cover story on Asse.fr and the St. Etienne forum on their official site has a tremendous thread with fans expressing their excitement with the signing. Wonderful to read them identifying Guarin as a future star for them.

    The option paid is 500 000 € (1 450 000 000 pesos). ;)

Fans are very happy about this move. Such a low price for so much potential is a fantastic deal. Guarin has great offensive and defensive qualities, a huge activity, a great shoot ability but he still needs the tactical rigor of European soccer, he sometimes does bad things on the field but nothing one or two years can't adjust. ;)

can you specify on the tactical errors he makes? is he out of position at times? or does he give the ball away more than would be expected?

Actually I've not seen Saint-Etienne matchs enough :D But from I know I'd say his moves and his choices on the field could be more calculated and efficient. He needs a little bit lucidity.

Frustrating loss for St. Etienne to Bordeaux today. Fredy played most of the second half.

Edixon did not dress for Bordeaux today.

"I'm very happy to have signed. They were things to deal with regarding my situation (loaned by Envigado after a transition by Boca). I thought it would be done in June, I'm happy it's all clear two months before. I feel better."

"I was not disturbed but it's different when you're just on loan. Now I have four years for playing in an European club, making progress and showing myself. I'm proud of that."

"I hope everyday working more in order to become starter in the team. I feel all right but it's very different wether you play or not.

Ivan Hasek made him start five times and he scored his first goal against Troyes. "I felt a strong emotion. I was deeply determined."

"I have to play more simply, I retrieve many balls but I must lose less of them. That's my priority."

"The Ligue 1 is one of the 5 strongest championships in the world [I disagree]. It's very competitive, fast and physic. It's not the EPL but it's a technical league and it suits me."

"I play in a great club, a city of soccer. The fans are marvellous. I wouldn't hesitate if I had to do it again."

He doesn't speak French well yet (has two lessons a week) but he understands that the Green People dreams of Europe: "I have four years to achieve that. We have got a great team, good players, a local culture. We have to do it as fast as possible."

"We have a lack of regularity and steadiness. Sometimes we play as well as against Troyes but we don't manage to do a run of successes. There's an important match against a good Lorient team this week-end. Like us, Lorient needs points to get a European place."

"I'd like to play the Copa America with Columbia: to do that, I must play as more as possible."
