Hi....England MLS fan here...... Isn't it about time Freddy Adu left DC Utd for Europe...the same goes for Eddie Johnson(of the MLS)..... If they wanna go further with their career, not being funny to you guys over in the states but they HAVE to leave MLS..... Look at Robinho (Santos), he is soon off to Real Madrid...Tevez will go soon as well (to Europe) from Corinthians....

We've got a lot of Adu threads (use the search feature), and we don't have much tolerance for Adu threads started by non-DCU supporters on this board. Plus, that post with its "not being funny to you guys over in the states but they HAVE to leave MLS" line is apt to be taken as trolling on this board. It'd perhaps be better received elsewhere.
Freddy can't sign in Europe until he turns 18. Benfica's bid for Eddie Johnson ($5million) this spring was turned down. He wants to stay in MLS and win a championship before moving on. Look for him to move next summer after the WC.
Benefica's bid was turned down by the MLS because they hold all player's contracts. The MLS claimed that it was a crucial year for the league therefore they couldn't sell one of thier best players.
