I'm wondering how he stays employed by the Fire

As long as he doesn't criticize Andy or ask for a raise.

Kelly is even worse and he's still employed. The answer is, Andi doesn't watch the games and could careless about the team.

I don't think the assertion that he doesn't watch is true. He's happy as long as these guys say the things he wants, which it seems like they do.

    Do
Do you really think he'd waste two hours of his time to watch this shitty team? I know it's his shitty team, but I don't see him watch any of the games.

I would assume that even when he's at the game, he dvrs it to watch at home while working on next week's talking points.

Andrew watches the games, don't mistake incompetence for apathy, that gives him far more too much credit. The problems at the Fire are not caused by absenteeism.

Including his performance with Dan Kelly on the broadcasts.

Luckily that doesn’t affect the results on the field.

It would be naive to think he can speak his mind.

Also, since he "just went to Mather" it is naive to think that he has a mind to speak. ;)

Klopas’ head coaching days are before my time and Tyrus’ report on the players esteem of him is less than flattering — why is he a shoo-in to return next year?

He’s not. They already said he’s not up for the permanent gig. He should remain involved though.

I meant why a shoo-in to return as an assistant to the new coach?

At least to be with the technical staff. We need more like him. People with a connection to the team. They should be littered throughout the front office and technical side of the house.

  25. Most of the players are mercenaries from somewhere else and see a guy like Klopas, whatever his sporting merit, as a company guy. Whereas locals have a much stronger connection. That's why successful Homegrowns are so important because they have that connection to the city. Guys like Klopas, McBride, and Magee need to be as involved in some way with the team as much as possible.
