I don't know why I thought this team looked better (on paper) a few months ago. All I can think of now is how painfully average it looks with the exception of some players.

I'm very tired of DD's selections. As a PSG fan, even I'm perplexed by Cabaye's name on the list. He's been injured and on the bench for a big portion of the last few months.

I'm not going to even get started on that defense. But where is Laporte?

 

Maybe he can take the time off to get his license. Just kidding! Poor guy is injured. He played way too much this season. At least it'll give Lacazette some much deserved time to get accustomed to his NT teammates.

It's nice to see Pogba back in the team, but I wonder if it would be best for him to skip the first friendly so he can rest after the CL final. He was out for a few months and only came back a little while ago.

The defense is the scariest part. We're in this weird transitional stage where we have so many talented young and inexperienced players and a bunch of experienced yet average players and DD seems to go with the latter (with the exception of Varane who needs to fix his club situation).

 

I'm expecting Griezmann to have a good game. Hope Lacazette gets lots of playing time also.

 

You should expect that from all the players, not just him.

Those ratings are a joke, plus friendlies never paint a good picture.

Belgium are a phenomenal team though, so I hope we win.

 

Look out France ... the Belgians are coming ... we don't view this tie as a real test ... it's just a friendly ahead of a competitive match on Friday. Also we don't care about our FIFA ranking ... like he said: Belgium needs to get results in major tournaments.

This kind of garbage game makes me really miss club football.

Funny how this all started after a clearly offside goal. I can't believe there's still a full half of this.

Anyway I hope people focus on the major issues after the game and not the "valiant effort" to come back.
