He passed the baton to Gonzalo Pineda (Atlanta signed him away from his assistant gig in Seattle back in August). I believe Valentino is still on staff, just no longer the interim.
Shit. Forgot about those two. Valentino passed that baton off to Gonzalo Pineda. Wan’t Valentino only drafted by the Rapids? Can’t remember if he actually played. I’ll allow it. Luchi is going to land somewhere as someone’s Academy Head. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that place be Houston. That area is way too talented to have only a handful of kids come out of the Dynamo Academy. It’s a hotbed. The new owners of Houston has made some comments about a stronger youth investment.
Drafted by the Revs and traded to the Rapids. Made the 18 a couple of times but never played in a MLS game. Was actually at midfield waiting to sub in for the Rapids as a stoppage time sub in one match, but the ball never went out of play before stoppage time was up so never got to sub in.
Cool read via Google Translate on @KeiKamara, thriving in Finland with HIFK at age 37 and prepping for AFCON 2022 with Sierra Leone. 5 goals in 8 starts including 2 in win over 2nd-place HJK.https://t.co/0gcqOYVhxR— Jonathan Yardley (@jtyardley) September 28, 2021

Dillon Serna had a save off the line for the Switchbacks Saturday. A critical play while it was 0-0, and we scored late to win 1-0! Michael Edwards continues to impress at CB. Young Toure started but wasn't particularly effective. Mayaka didn't play.
I really don't remember Benezet being such a douche. And funny he says celebrate in front of his fans here in Colorado. He didn't do enough to have fans here..... https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/nico...tle-why-he-d-definitely-celebrate-at-colorado
STARTING 1⃣1⃣! 💪#RAFC #UEL #FENANT #COYR🔴⚪ #AntwerpOnTour pic.twitter.com/ckQxOyALNI— Royal Antwerp FC (@official_rafc) October 21, 2021 Vines with the start today against Fenerbahce. Mesut Ozil is also starting for Fenerbahce and will be attacking down the flank that Vines covers. Former LAFC star Diego Rossi is on the bench for Fenerbahce - and may make an appearance as well against Vines
Unfortunately Vines' man scored Fenerbache's first off a corner kick. To be fair though, the initial shot was blocked off a great snap save by the Antwerp GK, and the rebound came right to Vines' man for a tap-in. Hard to defend that.
I didn’t see the match but it ended 2-2 against Fenerbahce. It sounds like Vines had some nice moments in the match - on both ends of the pitch - and had a couple of nice plays on Mesut Ozil. This has to be a vote of confidence for Vines. There is trust and belief in him after coming back from a long injury lay-off and being inserted into the lineup versus a top side like Fenerbahce. There’s more to come from Vines!
I lived in Wiesbaden and followed the local team there where Stefan Aigner finished his playing career. Looks like he's establishing himself as a coach and scout on the team. There was a post from them today with a bunch of pictures of him coaching youth teams, with this text: "At the crowning end of our SVWW football holiday camps today ex-Bundesliga professional and SVWW-Scout Stefan Aigner stopped by on the last day of the completely booked fall camps on the Halberg and in Bierstadt and trained with the kids."
1455901326450249739 is not a valid tweet id After 3 appearances and 61min across 4 years as the Rapids first homegrown, life seems to have turned out just fine so far for Davy as he heads into his 30s. Happy birthday Davy!
I know I dunk on Salt Lake a lot, but I gotta give them credit where credit is do. Tonight is Beckerman night over there and check out what the grounds crew put together: https://twitter.com/realsaltlake/status/1456049917290446852?s=2 I know he only played a few seasons for us by comparison to his tenure over there, but I always liked the guy and Salt Lake’s success was a little more bearable because it meant he was also able to be successful - and that field tribute is pretty legit not gonna lie
Watching the Orange County v Colorado Springs USL Playoff game. Dillion Powers is playing for OC against Dillion Serna and Sebastian Anderson from COS.

Dude will always go down as one of the most important players in Rapids history. Man I remember when that goal was scored....I was going nuts!
Ditto. But the craziest part of the Mac Kandji story is that the dude couldn't even stand up in a celebratory dance for the Cup-winning goal cuz he tore up his knee on the shot.
