Hey, and ALSO to Jordi Alba! All March 21st birthdays. (But I get it, this is a former Barça player thread...)

Lovely to see but it nearly got NSFW at the end. Rakitic had already given his jersey to some Barca player on the pitch, so he gifted his shorts and runs off in his tighty whiteys.

It looked to me like he'd taken his jersey off, but was still carrying it, and gave it to the first person he hugged. But maybe not.

I thought the whole thing was funny as hell.

I can't believe he is still at it , if he had continued we would be 8th or 10th by now since Messi isn't around to save his ass anymore.

    Koeman record : 12 game , 4 wins , 5 draws , 3 losses

    Xavi record : 21 games , 12 wins , 4 draws , 3 losses

Philippe Coutinho may have just won the Premier League for Liverpool.

Damn. When it comes to South America, Peñarol is my favorite.
Will be tough rooting against Suarez.

I would hate watch this... :cautious:

Netflix España has a new documentary about the signing of Figo with Real Madrid, premiering August 25th.

Collado levels the score for Elche (hosting Almeria), ridiculous that he could not even play anywhere this time last year (when we could have actually used him), but glad he found a first division home and starting spot: https://streamff.com/v/8ebdb3

Still weird to me that he is playing in LA, but great assist by Riqui to Chicharito:

Arthur to Liverpool on loan (they needed a midfielder Klopp recently said), Juve fans are rejoicing that his big salary will be paid by another club for at least a year. Meanwhile we are stuck with Pjanic's big salary (I'm sure we paid a good chunk of it when he was on loan too).

Honestly not really happy about this as PSG still control him (can buyback his rights for 4M next summer), and I also did not like that he was a La Masia starlet / "young crack" who left us for P$G, but Xavi Simons is quite the story of this young season in Holland and now player of the month of August, 6 goals and 2 assists:

Debut assist for Abde gets Osasuna a lead just before the 90th minute, amazing dribbling to get past 3 players and set up a tap in goal. Like Nico, this is one player we loaned out who we will be hoping to bring back to the first team (or at least sell for a nice price), as we extended his contract till 2026 before making the loan (and his buyout is 200M).

Trincao is another on loan player to watch as we have both 50% of his sell on, and also the right to bring him back. Given the quality we have at winger I don't see him coming back so it is more about hoping he can get back to a 25M++ Euro valuation so we can get some cash for him (Transfermarkt estimates he is worth 22M at the moment, of course Barca paid 34M for him his peak value on Transfermarkt was 33M).

I did not realize Thiago Motta had moved into coaching, our former DM was just named Bologna's coach:

They started 1W, 3L, 2D in Serie A so above relegation but not by much.

This was one guy I had high hopes for. A favorite of mine in the late 90s but, for whatever reason, his form dipped and he was shipped to Lazio.
He eventually had a successful career, at Espanyol, of all places. But I always rooted for him to do well.
    Great memory, this goal.
