West Ham Managers in order of Points per game

    Manager Games W L D Pts/Game
    Trevor Brooking 14 9 1 4 2.00
    Billy Bonds 227 99 67 61 1.60
    Charlie Paynter 480 198 166 116 1.58
    Ted Fenton 485 194 184 107 1.58
    Syd King 638 248 244 146 1.55
    Alan Pardew 63 26 19 18 1.54
    John Lyall 708 277 255 176 1.53
    Harry Rednapp 327 121 121 85 1.48
    Lou Macari 38 14 12 12 1.42
    Ron Greenwood 623 215 233 175 1.41
    Glenn Roeder 86 27 36 23 1.36

This makes AP 6/11 on current (dismal) form, interesting that he is One win away from catching Roedent (for wins)

Obviously this table doesn't take into account the fact that all of APs games have been in the First Division (Coca-cola championship) against most of the other games (recent ones anyway were in the top flight)

It's happening all over again. We, the supporters, knew in our heart of hearts that Roeder wasn't good enough. However, being long suffering hammers, we decided to give him a prolonged benefit of the doubt - extended further when he was struck down with health problems. The same is happening with Pardew. The majority wanted Ian Dowie as manager, despite the fact that he would probably have been the ugliest west ham manager ever!!!, but were prepared to give Pardew a shot at handling our club. Signings have flattered to deceive. Jobi couldn't hack it with us, yet was good enough to give us an absolute roasting in Cardiff. Does that mean that the manager isn't good enough at motivating. Sad to say it, but we're not half the team without Teddy up front - and he's 37/38. Doesn't bode well for the future!!! Christ i hope we beat millwall!!!
