Something about putting on a United jersey. Onana was always a bit unconventional, but he has quite a bit of CL experience. Recall he was on the Ajax team that reached the CL semis, ousting cr7's Juve and LPB along the way. And then reached the CL final in his first and only season with Inter.
he also spent five years in la masia after being discovered by the Samuel Eto'o Foundation in Cameroon. he left barca after we signed both Cladio Bravo and Ter Stegen. he's much better than united make him look.
That 1st Madrid goal ... Bellingham just waltzes into the box without the ball unmarked. That's what playing Madrid hard looks like ?
Oh now i just know that Hazard retired from football. At 32 years old. Chelsea's Hazard is great to watch. How highly do you rank his 2018 World Cup @Bada Bing
Only checked Modric from WC18, which I put 17th of 21 analyzed. But seeing Hazard being top at Whoscored ratings 2018, he probably performed better.
Messi's 1st goal yesterday is one of the underrated skills he has that I've always been impressed with. How he so often catches those passes with a clean shot on goal. That pass came in fast and had pace, it's not easy to keep that shot from going over the bar.
Meanwhile, confirmed torn ACL for Neymar. He was subbed off just before halftime in Uruguay's comfortable 2-0 win over Brazil last night. Looks like Neymar will be home for his sister's birthday again (if it wasn't already written in his contact ).
These types of injury are not due to "body being done". Many players young and in good shape have ligament tears.
Helmond Cup update: Leverkusen refuses to lose! Remain undefeated on the season. Along with Barca, Bayern, Dortmund, Nice, Spurs and Arsenal (in the top 5 leagues) Result: 5 Oct (Europa League) Molde 1 Bayer Leverkusen 2 8 Oct (Bundesliga) Bayer Leverkusen 3 FC Köln 0 21 Oct (Bundesliga) VfB Wolfsburg 1 Bayer Leverkusen 2 Next fixture: Thu., 26 Oct (Europa League) Bayer Leverkusen v Qarabag FK (Azerbaijan) Forthcoming: Bayer Leverkusen v Freiburg (Bundesliga) [Araz PFK v Qarabag FK (Azerbaijan Prem League)]
Dembele's 1st goal for PSG called back because of a foul in the build up. So far, 0 goals and 2 assists in the season. I looked it up, only 1 of those assists was really legit via a cross.
Helmond Cup update: An (unlikely) chance for the Helmond Cup to go to the third division in Germany tonight. Result: 26 Oct (Europa League) Bayer Leverkusen 5 Qarabag FK 1 29 Oct (Bundesliga) Bayer Leverkusen 2 Freiburg 1 Next fixture: Wed., 1 Nov (DFB Pokal) Sandhausen v Bayer Leverkusen Forthcoming: Hoffenheim v Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga) [Sandhausen v Saarbrucken (Bundesliga 3)]
Probably a bit unlucky and played a lot of the tougher fixtures early in the season (played all 4 Dutch teams involved in European comps in their first 8 league fixtures). But more importantly, I think they sold too many good/important players in one summer. Gotta spread the selling out a bit more. Though they did receive some Euro 150mn for shipping 4 players to the EPL. Tadic also departed on a free and he of course had been super important to the club. He played in all but one of their league matches during his 5 seasons at Ajax. Huge relegation six-pointer today v Volendam!
maybe the biggest factor has been losing their sporting director Mark Overmaars - thanks to his own stupidity.
Madrid dropping points against Rayo at home. Didn't see that coming but Rayo seems like an annoying team to play. 2 losses and a lot of draws. Girona now alone in 1st place. Top scoring team of the league. Scoring some very nice goals.
Helmond Cup update: Result: 1 Nov (DFB Pokal) Sandhausen 2 Bayer Leverkusen 5 4 Nov (Bundesliga) Hoffenheim 2 Bayer Leverkusen 3 Next fixture: Thur., 9 Nov (Europa League) Qarabag FK v Bayer Leverkusen Forthcoming: Bayer Leverkusen v Union Berlin (Bundesliga) [Qarabag FK v Sabail (Azerbaijan PL)]
I am no Man Utd fan, quite the opposite. But that red card on Rashford.... The game is gone. VAR is a farce! It does some things well, but the re-refereeing of the game is not one of them. Should have stopped with goal line and offside decisions. Maybe off-the-ball incidents too as refs might not be looking in the right direction live. But why review red card decisions on the ball? Ref is already staring right at it in real time 5 yards away.
And of course ManUtd"s penalty that made it 3-2 was never a penalty. Decisions made by people that never kicked a football in their life. What happened to "clear and obvious error"?? Absolute madness! The game is gone.
