I dunno. I am content that Flo has found a team/league combo that should result in big numbers for him... but Fulham plays a great brand of football... they just need a good finisher w/ Mitro departing. I think Flo would have done very well there. Considering how bad the aging Jimenez is and how mediocre Vini is behind him I think Fulham should have pulled the trigger. They are going to suffer this season w/o a quality 9.
Jimenez hasn't scored a league goal in 19 months. Rolling into a season with him as your starting striker at any level is insane. Doing it in the Premier League is criminal.

Trying to watch Balo and Musah at the same time both with the sound on is confusing. First World problems.
Guess who scored again. Folarin Balogun scores his 3rd Ligue 1 goal of the season 🇺🇸📹 @ESbeINSPORTS pic.twitter.com/hPopyS2m9Z— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) October 7, 2023
Balo scores as Monaco about to win this 3-1. Good weekend for yanks, for the most part. Esp in goals. Monaco and AC Milan top of table on Yank goals? Stop the count!!!
yep.....these guys are killing your argument that yanks in europe are only support players and non-essential to their teams.
true.....I would say to that that such a development should hve been expected due to the age of the players involved seems to me that a lot of people are not calculating age into the "equation" very well
I've felt that was the case the whole last cycle. We had the most talented team we've ever had but they were all very young and not very experienced. I was surprised by how many people (not here so much but the other usual suspect places and even fans I knew personally) discounted experience. Belgium and their golden generation was a a somewhat direct comparison and sort of what I expected. I also expect better play the next two cycles (at least).
I think it shows a lot about Flo’s character that he held back from celebrating against his former team.
how many players in the world are actually "essential" to their teams if we are following your standard? Not many.... Plenty of our guys are nailed-on starters who are very important to their teams, coaches would probably say they are even essential to their team.
"Essential" can be interpreted a lot of different ways. Is a player essential if he's the main creator or scorer? Because he's the general organizing the defense? Or is he essential mainly because the drop-off to his replacement is so drastic? It's also kind of a weird designation for one player in a team sport. Arsenal beat City without Saka yesterday; does that mean he isn't essential to the team despite being their best player?
We have a NT that is among the Top 20 and possibly the Top 16 right now. We should have a couple of players essential to their teams. We almost do: Dest, Pulisic, and McKennie are not far from it. Fossey probably already is, but in a weak team. It is important because they are the guys who take it on their shoulders to turn things around when they are not working. You need them in the international game.
Adams is essential to his team and he's hardly played for them. I'm going to go find a small room now and be sad inside it.
with a proper coach, I would too (alas) I think relative to age, the USMNT is a lot better than even most US fans realize relative to the rest of the world...but we'll see
you think AC Milan would be top of serie A without pulisic (and musah for that matter)? starting forward for Monaco ...in first in France? not good enough for you? whatever you wanna call it - essential, vital, core...whatever....there are a ton of American players stepping up this season in europe and taking ove big roles in their teams....(when their coaches allow them to play) despite your claim last season that all the usmnt has is bench players in europe
