It's tragic that other people had to pick up the tab for his healthcare.

I suppose it's also tragic that some poor nurse had to clean up the massive pool of diarrhea underneath his corpse because he was sticking goat dewormer up his butthole. They should get hazard pay for that.

But his death? No, that's comedy gold.

I would love to see a death claim for an anti-vaxxer who dies of Covid get denied on the basis of the policy's suicide clause.

Wasn’t their a ruling that held the ban wasn’t enforceable? This would seem to be counter to that ruling…

Death Santis wants to emulate the despotic orange guy... I'm guessing it will go to the Florida Supreme Court...

Not sure how will it go there...

I love that Mississippi idiot. "Tell the truth!" Who but a white Trump loving nationalist could politicize a storm?

    Prepare for a shocking revelation!

    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article253796898.html

A Miami Herald investigation has "discovered" that Florida has changed the way it reports deaths and is artificially creating the appearance of a decline in covid related deaths in the state. As an example, using the old method for reporting deaths to the CDC, Florida would have had 262 average daily deaths over the previous 7 days. However, under a new method, they only showed 46 average daily deaths over the previous 7 days.

What's the change? Florida is now recording covid deaths on the day that a person dies, rather than the day that the death is reported. While this may seem like a minor change that doesn't actually impact the number of deaths, it does "hide" the deaths because the media isn't used to reporting on this kind of reporting, and there can be a delay of several days/weeks in reporting deaths to the Florida Dept of Health.

In the long run, the number of deaths isn't going to be any different, it's just going to create situations like we had in this thread last week where a certain poster was posting that Florida only had 8 deaths on Thursday without noticing that the death count on prior dates increased as well.
