No, it's that we're just that bad. Only the Fire can match that level of suckitude on the field of play. Actually, the Fire were just lacking in the element of good fortune in the 1st half.

I really don't think Wicky is the problem. However, he will be the easiest fall guy.

I feel his time is starting to tick. We had weeks to prepare for this opponent and they're making us look silly. Could be 4-0 by now.

Not on the field, but I suspect he has a pretty big hand in player acquisitions.
If not, then this is all on Heitz.

There is a lack of talent plus the talent that is here are not really compatible.
Beric needs service. There is no second striker (Offor? Nah. Collier? Never)
Luka Stojanovic is very good, but we have not seen enough from him.
Frankowski is good at times, but not be used properly.
    Sekulic is above average.

Of course, we have not seen Ivanov yet.

    That's about it.

Herbers showed flashes of being decent in 2019, nothing since.
Medran has been okay on occasion, but no consistency.
    Aliseda? Nah.
    Gimenez? Ugh
Calvo? An opponent's goal waiting to happen every game.
Teren? Really have not seen enough of him.
Espinoza? Didn't know he was still on the team until tonight.

The Fire website does not seem to have the game tracker this season.
I found it on the Crew website.

Fire has nearly 60% of possession, over 100 more completed passes than Columbus.

The Fire with 0 shots on goal. Can't score with no shots on goal (except for our old friend Mr. Own Goal).

It is so sad, the Crew announcers are discussing the Chicago Fire defensive problems and the revolving door of center backs.
It is embarrassing and pathetic to receive pity from the Sunshine Happy Duo in Columbus.

Edit: It gets worse. Now, they are discussing the Fire road woes ("the last Fire away spoils were in Fall, 2019, a win in Orlando") and post season desert ("Fire made the playoffs 11 of their first 12 seasons, out of the playoffs 9 of the last 11")
Collectively hanging our heads in shame.

Before the game Wicky said they were going for 3 points. A clue Wicky you have to put the ball in the net to win.

Also if they were going for 3 points, why were the ONLY players on the team to have scored on the bench?
After a three week break, both Beric and Luka were benched.

When I explain to people why it's my dream to write an anime, they ask me what my inspirations are. And then I have to explain that I don't have normal inspirations. Because the reason I wanted to become a soccer coach was Frank Yallop. Not because he was so great, but because he was so terrible, I felt the world needed someone better. So my inspirations are now "this thing is bad, I can do better." And I'll have to carry around an explanation of who Yallop is in my pocket for the rest of my life.
