WOW! Brian Gutierrez trips into a goal! Surprisingly nice cross from Dean. That is something stupid. Edit: On the replay, that was a good stretch by young Brian G. I thought he tripped, but stretched out.
Herbers is bringing the goods in the first 25. He's lively on attack and doing an excellent job of tracking the DM and shutting down the easy pass in the hole making the Revs back line boot it long causing some quick turnovers.
Holy shit! Guti actually passed it naturally and one yard backwards on the lead up to that Kei header!
Yes I see the Fire players fighting to shield the ball and getting those calls when they end up on the ground. Also Guti getting fouled as usual (not dives) and the referee actually blowing the whistle. Even against the Fire the calls have been correct as far as I have noticed including the foul/advantage then late whistle back to the foul. The referee Timothy Ford doesn't seem to want to make this match about him which seems to be an unusual officiating trait in this league. Guti goal. https://www.chicagofirefc.com/video...rrez-brings-chicago-to-a-tie-with-center-shot
Well he hasn't shown needless cards and he's allowed play to flow. Lots of refs would have shown 4 yellows that half.
Hey, in the Multilanguage goal recap, the Fire were featured once, too bad it was being scored against. Wow, DC is losing to NYRB 4-3. If the Fire can score another goal and take this game, they draw even with DCU.
Gimenez with a goal? GIMENEZ WITH A GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something stupid happened. When it went to him, I was sure he was looking at Row Z. His first goal since 2021. September 21, 2021. Two years and two days. Also against New England. Warning, that was 3-2 loss.
Man I was afraid Guti had a busted collar bone there for a minute. Or the ol' rotator cuff injury...of which I earned both playing the footy.
And just like that, a bad defensive mistake by Omsberg and Carles Gil ties it up. All he had to do was touch it as it rolled by, but he was too slow.
