The design for the final shirt to be worn at the last season at Highbury before moving to the new stadium is now available to view. It's located at:-

It's not too bad to be honest. I am slightly surprised, but some good historical points displayed. "Nike, you surprise me"! At last a good kit!!!

Hey Jeff, the name www.newgoonershirt.jpg has no DNS entry in any of the servers I've tried. Do you have an IP address that folks can use instead? Is it an http URL?

Thanks for the link Canadian. That is one shirt that I won't be buying. I think it is absolutely hideous. Hopefully that isn't the final product, 'cause I think that shirt is absolutely wretched.

Exactly. Let's wait on judgment until we see the kit on the link Jeff tried to post.

Yeah, if you scroll down on that page there's like 3 different versions of the home kit, including one that's pretty amusing with a picture of Highbury on the front. I doubt Arsenal or Nike would go that route with something as hyped and poignant as the 05/06 jersey.

Jeff, it appears that you have it stored as a file on your computer. .jpg is not an internet domain like .com or .net--instead its a file extension. If you want people to be able to see it, you'll need to upload it somewhere and provide the full URL. Probably something like http://www.mysite.com/soccer/newgoonershirt.jpg, just as an example.

If it's okay with everyone, rather than reply to the "10 zillion" P.M.'s that I got, if you look under "The Canadien Wizzkids" thread for "Singaporesoccer" the shirt displayed there is the same one that I have seen. If you still want my "P.M." then let me know. Jeff.

I seriously doubt that any of the kits we've seen so far will be the new kit-- I mean, look at the examples-- they're just Photoshopped versions of this year's shirt.

    Just my opinion.

It is an interesting proposition, though: will the farewell kit be more of a "retro" look, or a new-style kit slightly altered? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I've heard that the final Highbury kit will resemble our first Highbury kit, i.e. completely red shirt, white shorts. Guaranteed it will be something special and a must-have item of clothing.
