As mentioned, DiMaria to the right was a good decision.
Problem being Lavezzi didn't look comfortable at all on the left, and it forced Rojo to make more overlapping runs more frequent, which left Garay more exposed. This is why Sabella took him off so early, and we need a different LWM, I don't know, whoever it is would need to cover Lukaku, who only played 30 min...

Coincidentally Belgium also appeared stronger on their right (our left) than left (our right).
It would serve us well to have someone that could cut into the box from the left, since having DiMaria and Messi together on the right would draw most of their attention over, but I wouldn't expect any production from that side of field.

FF is so fking slow it's down right depressing but since we're likely to play on the right side against Belgium, he will have covers, so maybe Campagnaro sits out more.

Basanta looked pretty fast, and agile, but again, can he beat Lukaku?

"The team has no change of pace, no movement at the front. ...Argentina will have to play much better as a team."

"Messi is very lonely," the fomer national team head coach surmised.

"The Argentina midfield falter much and do not take initiative. If Messi does not take it forward we will fall in the next round as that will be to blame for Argentina's catastrophe.

"The team is playing at 40 per cent of its potential. There are players who have not yet started playing the World Cup.

"Belgium is another matter. If Argentina does not wake up, we're in trouble."

I agree with everything he said.

It seems like Lavezzi usually plays better for Argentina when he comes off the bench. He seems to energize the team. But when he starts he tends to disappear.

He's not disappear, for some reason Lavezzi always picking up the ball near the center of the field sometimes in deeper position than Gago, and he's suppose to be what? a forward, am I right?

If he's there to replace Kun, then Sabella should just use him to play in Kun's position. He looks effective when he came in against Nigeria and Iran, taking on defenders on the right.

Sabella started him as a midfielder to help Zabaleta who has been very weak tackling so far. But this begs the question. Why use a FW in a RM position if you have other midfielders? I think it was so everyone had the "feeling" that we were playing with 3 forwards.
After that first match, Sabella does not dare follow his instinct , which is to play either with 5 defs or 5 mids, fearing that the press and fans will blame him in case of a loss.
