The match was moved to Halpatiokee Soccer Complex at the last minute due to the substantial rainfall that our area received. O'Jardim has a drainage problem on the right wing and both clubs opted to move the match to a different pitch.

The 0-0 end result was due to the match being called off before the first half due to lightning and heavy rain. With any result not effecting the standings, both club owners opted to call the match a draw and have no replay.

Thanks for showing up and I'm sorry that you weren't able to enjoy the match. I hope your able to check out a match in the very near future.

FESL Soccer update for the month of October.......

***www.FESLSoccer.com, is still undergoing an update and will be back to 100% capacity on November 21st.

    ***FESL Club & Player watch..............

    Treasure Coast Galleons :

Hansen Woodruff, 2007 FESL Playoff MVP : Currently playing with Syracuse University, Hansen has picked up two player of the week honors in the Big East this season.

"Sneaky" Pete Marino, 2007 FESL League MVP : "Sneaky" Pete was loaned out to Uruguay SC for the Copa Azteca America at the Citrus Bowl, Orlando. Marino managed to grab two goals & assist in two matches as Uruguay SC suffered a shock defeat in the 2nd round.

Brett Passino : Brett Passino was knocked out of the FESL due to a season ending injury against the Strikers. Brett, however has managed to spring back from his ankle injury and now plays for Florida Olympic Development Program, ODP.

    Palmeiras F.C. :

Palmieras F.C. suffered a shock defeat against Colombia USA of Orlando in the second round of the Copa Azteca America in Orlando.

    Space Coast Strikers

Nick Rasek, 2007 FESL Leading Scorer : Injuries have kept the 2007 FESL scoring champion on the sidelines for St. Leo's University this season. The Space Coast Strikers hitman is on track to hit the pitch for the 2008 FESL season.

Ryan Hagerty : Ryan has managed to start every game this season for the Florida Tech Panthers. Ryan's stellar defensive play in the midfield has earned him a player of the week award in the Sunshine State Conference.

Adam Busshaus : Adam managed to start 13 of 15 matches in his rookie season for the Florida Tech Panthers. Adam's freshman season for Florida Tech will certainly help him when the Strikers hit the pitch in 2008.

    PSL Hurricanes

The Port St. Lucie Hurricanes are already planning for their 2008 season, with some major changes planned for this up and coming season. Stay tuned as the Hurricanes will be announcing their plans & goals for the up and coming 2008 season.

The Galleons home field, Lakewood, is in Ft. Pierce, correct? I'm sure I watched a high school match there about a year ago on a visit to Port Saint Lucie

I will be moving to PSL very soon, so my 'home team' has got to be the PSL Hurricanes. They seem to be an under-acheiving side. As an 11 year Metro/RBNY season ticket holder, I can pick up where I leave off!

How cross-town are these teams? I get the impression that the Galleons are located in Ft. Pierce, while the Hurricanes are in Port Saint Lucie. I know the towns are close to each other, but if someone live in PSL -- say between the toll road and I95, just north of PSL Blvd -- which team would be closer to home?

The Galleons play all of their matches out of Lawnwood Stadium in Ft. Pierce. (10 mins north of PSL). The Galleons office and training facilities are located within Port St. Lucie, same go's for their academy as well.

The Hurricanes play their matches within St. Lucie West, within the Tradition Field Sports Complex at South County Stadium.... Univerisity Blvd. across the street from the NY Mets Tradition Field.

The Galleons played a few matches within South County Stadium last year and are planning on playing one or two regular season matches at South County for the up and coming 2008 season.
