Finally, although it is not totally official, but Jaime Moreno will be called up for the Bolivia-Colombia match on November 17. Hopefully, it will be fresh off of a MLS Cup. If we do not reach the final, he will play in a Bolivia-Guatemala friendly on Nov. 13 at RFK. http://www.eldeber.com.bo/20041102/deportes_6.html "Jaime Moreno returns to the National Team after a three year absence. The DC United player will don the green jersey for the game against Colombia on Nov. 17, and if his team does not play in the final, he will also play in the friendly against Guatemala on Nov. 13 in Washington. Head coach Ramiro Blacut said yesterday that he has spoken with Moreno and told him that he will be called up. "If his team plays the final he won't be able to be with us (the dates don't coincide), but he will be with us against Colombia"
Awesome! Go Jaime! A little off topic- So Jose Alfredo Castillo is back from suspension as well? Good to know that Jaime isn't just a replacement for an injury/suspension, because if my memory serves correctly Castillo plays the same type of role for the national team that Jaime plays for DC.
Well deserved honor for Jaime. We sure could have used him earlier in qualifying but Blacutt had his head firmly up his ass. Dale' Jaime
Congrats to Jaime, he's worked his tail off so very well deserved call-up. Let's hope he puts another MLS Cup in DCs trophy case first!
