I'd say so. You can never have enough depth at midfield, especially with someone as talented as him.

Uh....yeah....no brainer if you ask me.

He'd be the perfect replacement for Zavagnin. As I just said in the Jose thread, we're shaping up to fit into a 3-5-2 and Benny would fit into one of the d-mid spots perfectly.

Rumors is that Derby is trying to send him to Isreal though?

According to this, they rejected the deal.

hell yes i want him here, but i don't think we stand much of a chance. i would bet san jose and la are leading candidates since he grew up in cali and went to ucla.

Certainly would love to see him here, though something tells me that the price tag might be something to look twice at.

For the sake of the national team, I'd like to see him stay in Europe.

He's one of the young NTers I've been impressed with. I guess he hasn't been so impressive with his club team if even lowly Derby don't want him.

For real. I don't want him to lower his game by coming to MLS.

Yeah, it's hard for MLS to match the kind of experience that he'll gain by sitting on some of the finest benches in all of England... Those are *world class* splinters that he's picking up.

He's the kind of guy MLS is interested in right now... bigger names and brighter talent to kind of 'take this league to the next level'.

Although if MLS did nab I'd say Kansas City has about a 2% chance of getting him, if that. He'd go to a large market town much sooner.

Anyone else getting pissed at L.A. for being a corporate whore yet?

...well, if they end up like they did last year, I'll be OK with it.

Bigger name? Not really outside soccer circles (many of whom already attend MLS games) how many people know who Feilhaber is?

    lol

True, but most people seem to think that he's much too good to be sitting on the bench there. Maybe he pissed somebody off?

I'd love to have him but MLS doesn't pay transfer fees...not for anyone who aren't known for banging in goals...and certainly not for Americans who dodged the draft.

I'd love to have him here, but I wonder how much I would pay for him? That's a tough call.

I'm sorry to say, but the wizards wouldn't get this man... More than likely he would be award to DC United in some kind of special draft procedures........ or the Galaxy...

There's no reason KC couldn't get him. The league can't send EVERYONE to LA. He's exactly the kind of player we should try to get. Let the Figos and Zidanes of the world go to NY & LA.

On a side note, Derby County is beyond stupid for not getting him into their lineup, at least giving him a run of games to prove himself. He's good enough for the US National Team, but not for the laughing stock of the EPL? Give me a break. There's a reason Derby sucks...

Im not saying anything is in the works or will happen, but the Wizards have had experience working with Derby officials before during the EJ transfer saga.

Makes you wonder if Vermes at least put a feeler out there about Benny....
