Break out the shovels ladies and gents the battle for the basement continues in fabulous Cincinnati, Ohio. Can DC firm up their lock on the wooden spoon with each shovel full of dirt or will they gain the point that puts them one step closer to the West Coast tire fire that is the LA Galaxy? Should we even mention that with a win they end up tied with their West Coast dumpster dwelling brethren and would cause a seismic disruption that would threaten stability of the trash mountains at the local landfill. Who will rise, who will fall, and who will dig their hole even deeper? Tune in to watch the worst of the worst play for pride (or no pride)!!!! Where: John Harkes Stadium, Cincinnati, OH When: 7:30PM EDT Why: just because they cancelled the shield doesn't mean we can't still fight for the spoon What: that remains to be seen. Be there, or be doing something more life affirming. Cheers, James
Felipe and Abu injured and out, Moreno doubtful with a knock, and Canouse out with card accumulation. Will we play with a DM? If so, who?
If Moreno is out, and I hope he's not, I would think that Nyeman and Segura are about the only CMs left.
Don't really need one, for this game or for the rest of the season, really. For this game, Cincy is a Bennyball team, though they are at home, so maybe not extreme. Nyeman and Asad is fine, I'd rather see chances created than some 1-0 moral victory/defeat. Is Segura healthy yet? And Gressel is an option also.
B&RU says Segura is out, Moreno is questionable. Put Nyeman in there - he'll do fine. No word on Reyna.(?) I find my gameday selections are now entirely driven by fixture congestion: Sorga - Rivas Flores - Paredes - Nyeman - Gressel OA - Sjoberg - Brillant - Fisher Hamid Sub plan: Asad for Flores at the half, moving Paredes outside. Kamara for Sorga or Rivas as needed, Yow for Gressel or OA or Fisher as needed, with either Gressel or Paredes dropping back if it's one of the outside backs. Remaining bench (rest for 90 if possible): Pines, Mora, Moreno, Seitz Out: Abu, Arriola, Birnbaum, Segura, Felipe, Canouse (suspension), Reyna (Covid?)
I'd dump Paredes for Asad and OA for Mora, too. Asad was easily United's best player Wednesday - no way you can bench him and give the entire keys to the midfield to two teenagers.

I actually missed 80 minutes of the last game. That said, I’ve watched most of every other match this season and he has been trash. One game does not make a good player. You guys are idiots.
Whoever is in charge of having extra uniforms need to be fired for having commemorative #96 instead of actual player numbers.
LOL You know when a GK is arguing that he dropped the ball out of bounds that something has gone horribly wrong.
So, no crowd on the stands despite the noise (I guess pretaped chants). But the Crew have crowds (limited ones), wonder why... different county?
It was definitely generous. The duo does it again 👊@Audi | #CINvDC pic.twitter.com/iiNAlMt6B2— D.C. United (@dcunited) October 19, 2020
