South Korean International Ahn Jung-Hwan, who recently gave up a promising career in professional football for a life serving God, has arrived in Lorraine. Above, Ahn sporting his new Kit for priesthood signs papers declaring his faith to the Monastic Order. Seated to his R, a very inebriated Friar Jean-Marie Levure, Brewmaster of the Monastery, and to his L holding Ahn's hand, Father John Kim.

    ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.

no, Kanuck's just pulling your leg. Evidently he's turning out to be a bit of a joker :)

Btw, for you French-literate ppl, here's a link to FC Metz's supporters' reaction to the Ahn transfer. Some translation would be welcome, thanks :)

Let's see if I can do one better than Kanuck.

South Korean Internation Ahn Jung-Hwan, who recently gave up a promising career in professional football for a life of waiter in a French restaurant, is posing with his new boss. One sitting on his left is the owner of the famed French restaurant Jean Val Jean, located in Paris. The one who has his arm around Ahn is the restaurant's chief bouncer believe to be 9th degree TKD master. Ahn gave up his football career to pursue his life long dream of being a French chef. His new contract calls for waiter apprenticeship for 2 years and then moving to become a junior cook. ;)

time to get back to Footie talk no? well basically, they are very happy and pleasantly surprised with Ahn's signing. the fans were not expecting much this season with the injuries to Tum and Gueye.

a lot of this type of sentiment:

"for once we actually signed someone."

"congratulations to Carlo and the management for fielding a team we can actually look forward to following this season. we rarely see this."

    possible formation:

    Agassa ou Wimbée
    Béria - Meniri - Borbiconi - Paisely
    Proment
    Renouard - Obraniak
    Ouadah
    Tum - Ahn

Reserves: Wimbée ou Agassa, Allegro, Marchal, Morisot, Mangane, Djiba, Leca, Espartero, Frutos, Gueye, N'diaye,...

wish list: "Missing a LB, a versatile man in the middle and another attacker to make up for the injuries to Gueye et Tum."

Is that who he wears now??

Some of Kim's stuff is not bad but the majority of his stuff I wouldnt want even Mani to wear.

Hopefully the move to France can help his fashion sense too.

Kanuck, or anyone else, I have a question
Does the french league not have a regulations on foreigners? cos it appears to me that most of the teams have loads of africans in their lineups.
