Apparently the majority of spoiled Galaxy fans polled on B.S. want Schmid out. Should AEG be dumb enough to sack him, would you want the Crew to hire Fat Sigi as the next coach?
Sigi Schmidt I have been following Sigi with the galaxy for years and UCLA before that. It would be foolish to lose Sigi.
So Toon, are you saying we might as well give up hope now that the Crew will hire a decent coach? Should we just resign ourselves to Bob Rifle taking the helm? Personally I'm going to hold out hope that a good decision will be made until an official announcement is made.
I'm not giving up on the club hiring a decent coach. But the track record has been to promote the top assistant, which we all agree would likely fail for a third time. I really don't have a clue where this organization wants to head. Sometimes, I don't even think they know. I would feel more conifdent if the club had a GM who actually cares about the game, similar to Peter Wilt.
Since the Crew is the Most Massive Club in the world, shouldn't we also have the most massive coach in the world?
I think the next several responses are going to be to this effect... My question is, if we did get Sigi from the Gals, wouldn't we be better playing him and having Williams coach? I've just read that Crew are in discussions with World Cup winner Aime Jacquet. I think his resume is good enough for a massive club like ours.
Yeah let's pick up another coach that thinks bringing in an overrated international player is going to help a team. No thanks.

pepe pupu: you're a couple days late bud. we beat them on sunday. LAST sunday. besides, sigi would not be a good fit for the crew (pun intended). the stadium seats about 28K or so, and he's at least the size of 27K. ok, that was bad, time to retire now...
