Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more. Indy ends the regular season with a visit (the last visit?) to Oklahoma City. Indy followed an undefeated spring season (marred only by the mild frustration of all those draws) with a wildly inconsistent fall, marked by road woes and a couple of uncomfortable winless streaks. Recent form has been strong, though, and the biggest concerns this weekend are to avoid injuries and avoid getting pummeled as Indy heads into the postseason.
Disappointing result--it's never fun to lose late--but perhaps an appropriate finale given the road woes in the fall season. Do we really care? No. It was a decent performance by a makeshift lineup, and there were no injuries (let alone injuries to important players). We're in good shape going into next weekend, and that's what matters.
