The mark down the middle is something to do with a heating system to dry out the pitch, that involved a big heavy hot metal tube, according to the beeb. Reasonably comfortable so far, not much up top yet though. Malouda looks like he needs a cup of coffee to wake up.
Just brings back memories of that hair flying up and down the right. Seems like he's got less freedom to bomb forward under Bruce though.
Joey and Anelka are linking up pretty nicely up front. They seem to have a good understanding already.
We're playing well for the most part, but not really creating anything dangerous. We're lacking a midfield linking presence at the moment - Sidwell is just not Lamps or Ballack.

Great stuff from SWP, even Sidwell did well (and is having a decent game) but Malouda has had posession about 4-5 times now and given it away softly every single time.
It would be nice to see him replaced by young Sinclair at halftime, but sadly I fear there's little chance of that happening.
