Sounds like FSU matches with the regular buring of the spears. http://www.soccernet.com/europe/news/2002/0812/20020812turkeygala.html
Yea the Fenerbahce fan was trying to put up a Fener Flag until Gala fans tackled him down then the Fener fan pulled out a knife, luckely police came in time before things ugly
Gala fans ran on the pitch? I'm sure the riot police gave him a proper beating afterwards. I think that's hilarious. When is the Gala-Fener derby, Ugur? Thanks
That Fener fan is a 1st class idiot! We all know Galatasaray fans are the loudest in the world and we are the best! P.S. I never understand what the Fener fans are saying they are so slopy and unorganized.
you are the loudest? ahahahahahahaha... and in the world.. what a dreamer fan.. just check these out : http://immortal1907.web1000.com/resimler/taraftar02.jpg http://www.gencfenerbahceliler.com/images/arsiv/kucuk/0012.jpg http://www.gencfenerbahceliler.com/images/arsiv/kucuk/004.JPG http://www.gencfenerbahceliler.com/images/arsiv/kucuk/015.JPG http://www.gencfenerbahceliler.com/images/arsiv/kucuk/017.JPG http://immortal1907.web1000.com/resimler/taraftar04.jpg http://www.gencfenerbahceliler.com/images/arsiv/kucuk/09.JPG http://www.gencfenerbahceliler.com/images/arsiv/kucuk/250.JPG http://www.diablotr.com/ardas/1.jpg
Someone pulled off this stunt from Fenerbahce probably as a response to a similar stunt pulled off by Graeme Soueness years ago. During the Turkish Cup final between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce (1996 I believe), Soueness was the coach of Gala. After they beat Fener in Kadikoy (Fenerbahce's place), Soueness went to the middle of the pitch and planted a Galatasaray flag... and caused a hellstorm and rioting in the stands among Fener fans and although the Galatasaray board condemned the deliberate provocation by Soueness, he was hailed as a hero by the CimBom faithful... to this day there are T-Shirts sold with that image of Soueness planting the flag in Fener's stadium... I'm sure Fener fans have reason to forget now with the 6-0 thrashing of Galatasaray... But wait till they come to Ali Sami Yen
Sadly to say I've not been to Istanbul. I have Turkish friend from college, and he was from Fenerbahce high school... a huge Fener fan but he took me to watch Galatasaray during their 2000 UEFA Cup run... and I became a fan of Cimbom (much to his dismay). Now as I attend school in Washington D.C I have another friend who is studying here for his masters and is a Galatasaray fan... One day I would like to go to Istanbul, go to Ali Sami Yen and watch Cimbom play... and to feel the electricity of the atmosphere in Ali Sami Yen. Even though I am a huge Barcelona fan, the only other club I can say that I support is Galatasaray SK... I don't know what I'm going to do next week.. but maybe Barcelona will lose so Gala can go through. How do I know about that incident with Soueness? All Galatasaray fans know about it... perhaps I am the first Korean Galatasaray fan. Cim Bom Oy!
