Timo Werner will reassess his Chelsea future if he cannot force his way back into Thomas Tuchel’s team and another summer striker merry-go-round could offer him the chance of returning to Germany at the end of the season. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...eassess-chelsea-future-cannot-force-way-back/ Where could he go? Red Bull probably wouldn't mind having him back.

Think Werner had a quite good game against Brentford. Looks more confident now. Yes, he missed a chance, but Lukaku missed an even better one. Chelsea in general need to get more clinical and create more chances.
Their problem was lack of chance creation - they should have lost that game. The Werner chance was low xG Brentford (1.88) 0-1 (0.28) Chelsea— The xG Philosophy (@xGPhilosophy) October 16, 2021

Tuchel on Werner's performance vs Man U: https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation...bench-romelu-lukaku-in-manchester-united-game “I think that we still see that Timo hasn’t played for a long time. So can we expect that he is on his absolute peak? No, we cannot. So it’s always a bit of what can we expect in this moment. “He looked very sharp in training, scored many goals in the last two training sessions. That’s why I went with my gut and put him on the pitch and hoped that he could maybe hurt the two central defenders. “It was a decision for Timo because he looked really sharp and had the goal against Juventus so we thought maybe he could be decisive or the big threat in the middle. It wasn’t easy for him today and you could see that he clearly lacks some games and from here we go.”
Rangnick in charge at ManU could mean restructuring the club and players they use. Ronaldo being mentioned as a player that could potentially leave, while they may bring in Werner due to his past connection with Leipzig https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a...ldo-soll-united-verlassen-interesse-an-werner

Werner looking sharp so far, could score more today. He’s got space and is making good runs. I think he benefits from Lukaku’s presence in the team.
Game tied at 2-2 now. For the second goal, Werner involved in the build up, gets the ball back on an upward run and lays it on the platter to assist Lukaku with a tap in
The day Werner sorts his consistency out will be the day defenders all around the world be hugely fearful. There's no doubt when Werner brings his 'A' game He is world class, it's so frustrating when he doesn't.
Timo Werner in CL 17/18, 3 goals in 6 matches 19/20, 4 goals and 2 assists in 8 matches 20/21, 4 goals and 2 assist in 12 matches 21/22, 3 goals and 1 assist in 3 matches Total, 14 goals and 5 assists in 29 matches
Yeah, was gonna say that was some quick footwork and shot execution between like 3 defenders for that goal: https://streamwo.com/file/61b101fa4053d
today's goals/assists is good remainder that Werner is more than a speed demon counter CF, which is what most think he is...... even back at Leipzig had a lot of individual goals, taps in, goals from distance etc a lot of variety. For Germany under Flick also scoring in smaller space too. We played vs a lot of parking bus countries. I found his passing game and build up game also improved over years too. just missing that killer efficiency at Chelski.
Werner tests positive for Covid, among other Chelsea players. Havertz awaiting his results and also out today vs Everton
https://www.bavarianfootballworks.c...tmund-havertz-tuchel-germany-flick-same-coman At one point, Timo Werner was linked heavily with Bayern Munich before ultimately opting to sign with Chelsea FC. While he did win a Champions League title with the London club, things have not worked out all that well for Werner, who is caught up in logjam of attackers under Thomas Tuchel. With so many options, it would seem like Werner’s desire to leave would be an easy call for the player and club alike. Unfortunately for Werner and Chelsea, Sport1 is reporting that the recent sanctions levied on oligarch owner Roman Abramovich currently could make it very difficult to move on — unless there an ownership change goes through quickly. In addition, Werner is said to earn €16 million per season, which could be difficult for any team to take on. One potential option for Werner could be Borussia Dortmund. BVB is said to have interest in Werner and the forward is reportedly good friends with Niklas Süle, who will leave Bavaria for Dortmund during the summer.
https://bulinews.com/news/12066/report-werner-works-with-agent-potential-transfer Report: Werner works with agent on potential transfer The very thought of Timo Werner cutting his losses at Chelsea and possibly returning to the Bundesliga has thus far belonged to the realm of pure speculation in German footballing circles. What makes sense on a purely logical level doesn't always translate to realistic action. At least one German news source nevertheless now claims that Werner has taken the first steps to making the move from Stamford Bridge. Broadcaster "Sport 1" reports that the 26-year-old is working with his agent on a possible transfer. The report goes on to suggest that Werner's current EPL club would "put no obstacles" in the striker's way provided they receive a fair offer. This is defined as something "in the €40 million range". The Blues paid €53 million to acquire Werner from RB Leipzig in the spring of 2020. Given his production numbers over the past two seasons, Chelsea wouldn't necessarily be disappointed to rid themselves of Werner's estimated €16 million annual salary. A move to Borussia Dortmund is speculated upon. Werner's agent--Volker Struth--recently moved his other client Niklas Süle to the Schwarzgelben. Potentially clouding any move to Dortmund is the anticipated signing of RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi. The BVB clearly have their preferred Erling Haaland replacement in mind. Most in German footballing circles will naturally argue that, if the Haaland years should have taught Dortmund anything, it's that the team should plan on carrying two lead-strikers. That returns one to the realm of speculation that, however logical, may not make sound business sense. "Sure things aren't going as I might like them to at Chelsea right now," Werner acknowledged post-match after scoring a goal in Saturday night's German national team friendly, "That makes it all the more pleasant to come here, receive the confidence of the coach, get a chance to play, and score a goal."
Sources: Tuchel wants Chelsea to sell Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner in ‘huge’ overhaul https://www.footballinsider247.com/...melu-lukaku-and-timo-werner-in-huge-overhaul/
He was asked about that and said, 'Of course I would have signed with Bayern but they did not ask." I think Timo Werner has good speed and is excellent at creating chances to score. However, with that being said, he needs to improve on finishing. He is a god player and will be important for Die Mannschaft but there is a reason why Hansi Flick, back when he was the head coach at Bayern, passed on Werner, when they had the chance to pick him up. He can have a chance to change that stigma he has, at the World Cup by scoring some goals for Die Mannschaft.
