    Howard

    Neville Jagielka Lescott Valente

    Osman Fernandes Carsley Arteta

    Johnson Anichebe

Valente will get tore to shreds by Lennon, Jagielka won't be able to handle Berbatov and without Yakubu, we have nothing up to.

    Narrow defeat I am afraid.

AJ taken down in the box. No penalty.

How much you wanna bet this bad luck is going to mean the difference in the game?

Damn ... oh well. I'll take a point.

    The other results:
[result]We're now up 3 points on the Red Shite, who do have a game in hand.
City's tie puts them in 6th moving them ahead of Liverpool.[/result]

On the one hand, I feel I should be happy with any points given the number of players we have either playing in Ghana right now or sitting in the stands.

On the other hand, the more I look at the league table, the more this one bothers me. Those two extra points would be huge, putting us more than one game ahead of everyone else (excluding the, ahem, "Big Three" :)). As it is, we could drop as far as seventh now in one round of play. Oh well, we're still in a Champions League spot and I'll try to enjoy that as long as it lasts, hopefully for 14 more games.

Midfield was poor. Carsley didn't get into the game and because of that we suffered.

We did have the best chance of the game though, Johnson, should have scored. Fernandes and Baines need fitness, struggled towards the end.

Our games against Blackburn and Reading are important. Then we have a crucial gaem against City.

Not the best game but I think we did well considering our depleted numbers. Our back 4 was solid with Jags being the Man of the Match in my opinion. I was disappointed in Manny. He gave the ball away too easily and seemed really tired towards the end. It was good to see Baines back in the lineup and can't wait for him to get into the back line again.

Woulnd't be too harsh on Manny he looks short of match fitness...

I'd be concerned if he was like this in the next game.
