I've been kind of ignoring Bigsoccer for a few weeks and haven't really thought much about football, to be honest. Too much other stuff going on.

But, it's time for our boys to get back in the W column and this is just the team to whip up on. We're off to our best Premiership start, they're off to their worst. We need to score some goals. Lots of them. I want 4. Probably not going to happen, but I can want them anyway, can't I? :D

The game is being shown on FSW at 12pm ET/11am CT.

Yeah we SHOULD win, Brum have only won 2 so far this season and are languishing in the bottom half, it would be good to restore confidence back to full after the disappointment at Arsenal.
Pisses me off it's on Premplus though, that means i'll actually have to move and go down the pub. It's a bit strange though, us playing at 5pm on a Saturday but meh, let's proppa go for it and see if we can't put the goal average up.

I hope you guys win; I want to see Everton continue to have a go at the big boys. Maybe you can kick the stuffing out of Birmingham so that they'll be down and out vs. Rovers next week. :)

Well, the good news is that Bolton lost so we stay in third no matter what happens with Birmingham. But dammit, I want to win.

Gravesen is looking good today. He's had a couple of good shots on net.

So much for my dream of a plethora of goals...

    Are we EVER gonna score?!?

If we can't beat Birmingham, our run is definitely over. We all knew it wouldn't last forever.

Finally some action! Carsley puts a great strike on net, handball by Birmingham defender, and Gravs gets a goal on a penalty kick.

    0-1 good guys

Good win today by the toffees! (any win is a good win at the top of the table)

You folks in the UK are lucky. Whenever they play later in the day here and they're on FSW, I have to stay away from ALL soccer websites because the game has already ended by the time I see it on TV 6 hours later. Today's game was LIVE in the States!!

Everton keeps on winning. I still cant believe they're 3rd in the table

The 2nd half wasn't bad. But, I agree, the 1st half was pretty painful to watch.

Birmingham at home to Everton was always going to be a boring game at the end of the day
they can't buy a goal at the moment and we deliberately play a cagey defensive style away from home. i wasn't expecting fireworks! :D

    once again tho, superb result...

btw, i'm in Houston at the moment and was forced to watch the game at the Red Lion, with a tv that didn't have working speakers. there was a crowd of two people to watch the game.

Considering how many away wins we managed last season, I'll take it.

Nice to see Carsley have a good return to the lineup. It's interesting, having recently read Andy Gray's "4-4-2" and how much he dislikes the 4-5-1, how it's starting to make more inroads in clubs with teams using some variations (4-1-4-1, 4-2-3-1, etc.).
