We've played so well, created numerous chances. We should have a comfortable lead, and yet, we're still tied. C'mon boys. One more!

Unfortunately, he's only good for about 1 game winner a season, and he used that up last week.

2 minutes to go and it's looking like we're only going to get one out of this. I know I said I'd be happy with a draw, but I'm not. We should be winning.

Everton gets a free kick for one last chance. Gravs takes it from the left, heads go up, but Sorensen gets in the way. Dammit.

    FT 1-1

I'm disappointed. It was a great effort, but those are two points we dropped. We should have won. We've won most of our games with a score of 1-0 but one goal isn't enough to win most matches. We had the chances, just couldn't finish it off. Frustrating.

On the bright side: at least we're creating chances

On the dark side: they need to put more of them away!

We're a lot more confident now which i'm happy about Villa have always been a bogey team for us and as for a bogey player if there ever was one friggin' Lee Hendrie, always scores ALWAYS, was gona put a bet on him to score first but then realised i only had a button and a mint in my pocket.

The difference this year is we're not afraid to hit it from anywhere in past seasons we've tried to walk it in and then left the defence exposed at the back.

We're still gaining points though, and STILL 3rd!

C'mon Tree we can't expect too much, just enjoy it while it lasts. Remember we're relegation material are we not!

Gah ... dropping points to the Villa.

Three would've been much nicer, but still we roll on.

So I just finished watching those highlights and have a few comments.

    1. Hendrie's goal was a thing of beauty. Wow. Martyn didn't have a chance.

    2. There were at least two shots (Stubbs' header and Osman's post shot) that should have gone in.

    3. Bent is amazing. His acrobatics were quite impressive this match. And Weir's pass to him on the goal was perfect.

    4. Seeing the highlights, there is no doubt in my mind that we were the better side. We wanted it. We played our hearts out. We created scoring chances. We just couldn't quite finish it off.

Great match for us, really. At the beginning of the season, I would have been thrilled with that result, but somehow I've come to expect more from these guys. They've proven that they can win and they are playing so well as a team that the fans almost expect to pick up all three points every week.
    On to Chelsea...
