    Just to note, Wolfsburg just lost 5-1 in the Bundesliga to last placed Hertha Berlin. Not bad eh? :D

    not to make excuses for them but they just play 48 hrs earlier in a match that went 90 minutes plus 2 15 minute OT's in their Europa 2nd leg with Rubin Kazan, Wolfsburg looked exhaused and disinterested on the pitch.

    They will be much more difficult than that.

    '89 minute goal by Wolfsburg gives them life going into next week.

    A win is good, but a 2-0 shutout would have been better.

    Agreed, but if anyone can get us through with the away draw, it's Roy.

    Onward to Germany!

    Sadly, no Duece today. He picked up a knock in the win last weekend.

    We're woefully short of attackers today. How's 0-0 sound to everyone? ;)

    Here is a link to highlights of the game.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tskbcN0vXVc"]YouTube- Wolfsburg-Fulham 0-1 All goals and highlights[/ame]

    The clip isn't in English, but the goal is in the first minute, so if you just want to see the goal...this clip has a great highlight and slo-mo replay of the goal.

    What class by Zamora! He really is in great form.

    Thursday, April 22 @ Hamburg - 3:05 Eastern Time
    Thursday, April 29, Craven Cottage - 3:05 Eastern Time

    Hamburg just beat Standard Liege 5-2 aggregate. Also, in case you forgot, like I did, this is where Ruud Van Nistelrooy ended up. The guy is 33 but only 2 seasons removed from scoring 20 goals (league and CL) in a season for Real Madrid; and 31 the season before that. It would still be cool to see him play even if he is past his prime.

    Fulham are playing very well in Europa league play, and I really hope that they can get to the finals to face either Liverpool or Atletico Madrid.

    Btw, the Europa league winner gets an automatic invite to the CL next year, right?

    ^ Nope. They only get to defend their title next year.

    With as much as they've accomplished, over so many games, with such a thin lineup, injuries and all, it would a fitting and deserving reward.
