Gómez is at risk of losing his World Cup and Europa League medals. Argentina and Sevilla are not at risk. For teams to lose their titles, more than two players have to test positive for doping.

But if they knew this in November, why was he allowed to continue being called up and play at the world cup?

The test was taken at his club days before the WC and he wasn't told the results until right before the world cup final (which he didn't play cuz he was already ruled out after the Round of 16 due to injury). He also didn't test positive during the regular WC tests either, so there was no way the staff could have known anything before or during the tournament. He wouldn't have been called otherwise (and in fact he hasn't been called ever since).

The substance is apparently some banned component found in some cough syrups, which (according to him) he drank one day when he was feeling sick. Honestly, it just seems like he was very careless.

i think when we play a top team that will have possession ronaldo's lack of legs is going to get exposed, our best performances in the last year have been when he's out of the side. He offers nothing other than a goal-poaching threat. Sometimes less is more and I worry that we might be pissing away the greatest talent our NT has ever assembled. Like I've said, give him a super sub roll

6 attackers, a retired midfielder, 2 defenders and Francesco Totti. Interesting lineup.

20 seconds into the 2nd half Ronald hits the cross bar and then 60 seconds Ronaldo makes it 0-1

Ramos and Felix are the worst players on the pitch right now. Cancelo and Ronaldo are playing the best. Insane formation though. Not working at all.

Those rankings are really shit. Zambia at 23 above African teams which actually qualified for the WC and won AFCON? Kuwait at 38 ahead of Portugal, Cameroon, Bulgaria, and Iran? Portugal 39th?
