Telegraaf confirms. This really sucks. We can probably forget about beating France https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/1220...ie-de-jong-pas-in-november-terug-van-blessure
Very unfortunate and difficult when you are without a true World Class player like Frenkie De Jong. Let’s not see De Roon and Taylor called and expected to play against the press.
Mbappe left the PSG game today with a calf injury. Maybe we'll get lucky and he misses Holland game??
Mbappe has a left ankle sprain. Out 1-3 weeks. Will probably still make Holland game, but thats not 100% sure
Mmm, they have enough, of course not Mbappe level, top quality attackers to choose from, who are above what we've got running around.
I want our men (and women of course) to face the best available, that's the point of being a football fan
Agreed, but if our Frenkie is out then I want a level playing field with Mbappe out too. I dont think its gonna happen anyways. He'll probably be fit in time
DeLigt is out too: https://www.voetbalzone.nl/nieuws/n...ep-door-volgende-international-te-gaan/425019 And we can forget about Luuk: https://www.voetbalzone.nl/nieuws/l...lijk-op-vraag-over-terugkeer-in-oranje/425021 I guess its gonna have to be: Lang-----------Malen----------Simons
With presumably a 3-5-2, Simons will play closer to midfield. Lang is in decent form, but oh boy, Malen as a CF… sigh Big picture… just need to finish 2nd in the group. Beating France is an overwhelming task. I will take a draw. Even losing (while sucks) is not the end of the world, as long Oranje can steal a point in Greece. Hopefully Ireland (playing at home) can do a favor, and defeating Greece as well.

Wow… injury bugs are cruel this time around. No Frenkie, Gakpo, De Ligt, Memphis, and Botman. Gulp. Should have just enough quality to steal a point in Greece and maintain momentum for 2nd spot in the group, though the France game could get ugly
Sarcasm noted, but I dont see anyone else who is better and has more experience than Blind. So I fully expect Blind to start against France, and I also fully expect him to get run ragged by Mbappe
Ehhh, if Blind is on the pitch (left back), how would he meet Mbappe (attacking our right side back)? If Blind decided to help on that side, he's out of gas by the time he's near the penalty spot
Mbappe moves around both wings, and his eyes will light up as soon as he sees how slow turtle Blind is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kylian_Mbappé Style of play Mbappé's explosive movement is often highlighted as one of his most important assets A versatile forward, Mbappé often plays as a winger, and is capable of playing on either flank, due to his ability with both feet. He is capable of cutting into the centre onto his stronger right foot from the left wing, and of creating chances and providing assists for teammates from the right thanks to his vision. He is also able to play in the centre as a main striker, due to his composure, clinical finishing, and eye for goal
He might try Hartman against Greece, but I think Koeman will prefer Blind's experience against France. We shall see
