Mbappe left the PSG game today with a calf injury.

Maybe we'll get lucky and he misses Holland game??

Mbappe has a left ankle sprain. Out 1-3 weeks.
Will probably still make Holland game, but thats not 100% sure

  6. Mmm, they have enough, of course not Mbappe level, top quality attackers to choose from, who are above what we've got running around.

Right, but would you rather France with Mbappe or without??

    Dont be daft :p

  8. I want our men (and women of course) to face the best available, that's the point of being a football fan:)

Agreed, but if our Frenkie is out then I want a level playing field with Mbappe out too.

I dont think its gonna happen anyways. He'll probably be fit in time

    Great turn and finish.
Strange as there was no contact.
    Hopefully not serious.

With presumably a 3-5-2, Simons will play closer to midfield. Lang is in decent form, but oh boy, Malen as a CF… sigh o_O

Big picture… just need to finish 2nd in the group. Beating France is an overwhelming task. I will take a draw. Even losing (while sucks) is not the end of the world, as long Oranje can steal a point in Greece. Hopefully Ireland (playing at home) can do a favor, and defeating Greece as well.

Glad to see that Daley Blind, Mr. Oranje, made the cut!!!! Can't wait to see him start.

Wow… injury bugs are cruel this time around. No Frenkie, Gakpo, De Ligt, Memphis, and Botman. Gulp. :x3::x3::x3:

Should have just enough quality to steal a point in Greece and maintain momentum for 2nd spot in the group, though the France game could get ugly

Sarcasm noted, but I dont see anyone else who is better and has more experience than Blind. So I fully expect Blind to start against France, and I also fully expect him to get run ragged by Mbappe

  22. Ehhh, if Blind is on the pitch (left back), how would he meet Mbappe (attacking our right side back)? If Blind decided to help on that side, he's out of gas by the time he's near the penalty spot:rolleyes:

  23. Why do you think it's a good idea to put Blind in and not Hartman?

Mbappe moves around both wings, and his eyes will light up as soon as he sees how slow turtle Blind is

    Style of play
    [IMG]
Mbappé's explosive movement is often highlighted as one of his most important assets
A versatile forward, Mbappé often plays as a winger, and is capable of playing on either flank, due to his ability with both feet. He is capable of cutting into the centre onto his stronger right foot from the left wing, and of creating chances and providing assists for teammates from the right thanks to his vision. He is also able to play in the centre as a main striker, due to his composure, clinical finishing, and eye for goal

He might try Hartman against Greece, but I think Koeman will prefer Blind's experience against France.

    We shall see
