You can feel from last UEFA email regarding tickets and schedule that a change of venues is a potential idea they are considering..
Actually a lot of the talk seems to be around rome and bilbao pulling out, the 12 host cities haven't all confirmed but the talk is other already hosting cities would take extra games. But still all speculation
All this stuff about 1 to 2 spare seats so how do you make sure that people arriving, walking around, going to food outlets always manage to stay 2m apart at all times. As the attention span and inability of most fans to not leave there seat every 10 minutes how do they walk past other fans in the rows? Anyway I am more concerned about that woman in Michigan getting to a hairdresser. She certainly thought it was an emergency.
Why does UEFA need another portal for ticket refunds? Why don't they simplify the process? They got my money since August 2019 and to be honest with you it starts to piss me off...
Well, really they've only been holding it since it was confirmed that the Euros would be postponed. But yeah... that's still almost two months ago.
i think they will try to change it officially to euro 2021 but i think most peoole will still call it euro 2020
So UEFA have confirmed it will be known as Euro 2020 by them but you think they will try to change it to Euro 2021?
I asked UEFA about money refund in case the credit card is not valid anymore. They replied as per the below. I thought i should share this info in case someone is facing similar issue.
I really hope they confirm the schedule for the tournament in the next week or so, though I’m expecting bad news. My sister may have to postpone her late summer wedding to next year and, if the proposed Euro dates go ahead - it’ll be the day after the second semi final. The wedding is abroad and I of course managed to get 2x Cat 3 semis for me and my Dad to that second match up. No chance can I juggle both...so guess I won’t be maid of honour anymore. Shame. Quite like my sister as well.
I have just went thru this. I had bought with a Friends Debit Card, the date passed before I got the refund so the refund failed. I had to input the bank details for him which caused a few hassles but I got it in the end after a few wees.
Looks like hosting venues have till Thursday to give the go ahead or not. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/g...-up-for-rescheduled-uefa-euro-2020/?rid=14258
I do not think there is a potential venue change due to corona, since it 14 months there will be no threat for anyone. People made a mistake in predicting how big it was going to be this year, and now people are making the mistake of overestimating the duration of outbreak will last.
The overestimates were based on there being no lockdowns. The questions over whether immunity happens post recovery or not means we have no way of telling what the situation will be next summer, although I certainly hope you're right and at least a vaccine will be available, or the virus mutates to a less harmful form.
Overestimating the duration? Recall, the Euros were initially postponed to give club competitions until 30 June to finish. lol They were dreaming.
Once we get some more info on the schedule and such, I will double check with the buyer. If he is out, we can certainly work something out.
Dublin confirms they're happy to host, everyone should have put their answers in by yesterday. https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2020/0430/1135917-government-commits-to-host-euro-2020-next-summer/
A little different for Copenhagen, who agreed with UEFA to extend the deadline. Imagine we will start hearing more about other cities over the next week or so. https://www.skysports.com/football/...ches-uefa-extension-over-host-city-copenhagen
Munich confirms according to this. https://www.lesoir.be/297774/articl...tie-des-villes-hotes-malgre-le-report-en-2021
