Not true. If Poland beats Sweden Spain will end last in the group if they draw and then it is the end of their tournament. Only if Sweden wins or ties Poland will a draw save Spain.
The thing is, Sweden has already qualified for the round of 16 regardless of how they do today, so their motivation won't be high and they may rest starters (like Italy did), which makes the result less certain than in other circumstances.
Possibly but I doubt it. At least not to the extent that Italy did. Firstly, Sweden probably thinks about the tournament differently than Italy (Italy is thinking more like 'how to give ourselves the best chance to reach the final', while SWE is probably taking it more game-by-game). Secondly, Sweden would likely finish third if they lose today, which is not ideal -- would play Belgium in scorching hot Seville on short rest as opposed to Ukraine or Czech Republic in Glasgow next Tuesday.
This group turned out to be quite unpredictable. Hence I don't give exact scoreline predictions. But here's what I see happening. — Sweden will at least avoid defeat to Poland — Spain will win and score two goals
Slovakia have been shocking so far. Arguably the worst 30 minutes by anyone in this tournament so far.
Robson and Darkie are so much better than the RaRa twellman. His analysis is not bad, but he has no rapport with Darkie who sends him softballs over and over again. He's also always on TV VOICE! SCREAMING AT YOU!! Robo is calm, great one liners and analysis.
SWE-POL was never boring. Pretty intense game from the beginning with both teams trying to score. I don't understand why the other poster found it boring. SVK-ESP can be called boring because of the huge difference in quality; Slovakia is indeed one of the worst teams in this tournament and fully deserves to be eliminated.
I am still unconvinced by Spain. This is more about playing the weakest team last and that weak team crumbling under pressure.
Slovakia just don't have the experience for a major tournament. If only they managed a draw to Sweden, they'd be in the next round. Great result for Spain. I don't think there's another team at the tournament who can be as dominant, but can they reproduce this sort of performance? Without better finishing from the front three, I'm not so sure.
I know he scored two goals, but that missed sitter in the first half by Lewandowski probably made a big difference in the result.
Can't fault a guy who was the entire team. His first goal was exquisite to say the least. Pure class.
