Defense if their weakness, but Romania have no one going forward.

The way France defend they don't NEED anyone going forward. The frogs are giving away free headers 5 yards out on set pieces.

The referee isn't giving much to Romania. Some blatant fouls not even given.

Think that game will sum up the large majority of the opening games. Tight and nervy. Decent game for the first of the tournament.

I had a small bet on France to win 2-1 at 10-1 odds...

Just finished watching the game on DVR. Knew the French back four, especially Rami would be suspect and have no idea why he's starting, let alone in the squad... Diego Poyet. What a player he is. France deserved to win I thought, but unlucky Romania couldn't get a draw. Thought they played to the best of their ability and maybe should've won based on the quality of their chances.

You mean Dimitri Payet? Diego Poyet is Gus Poyet's son.

Oh God I've done it again:(

    Yes, Dimitri.

Glad we didn't really pursue Diego. Haven't heard a thing about him in a year.

Granit and Taulant Xhaka are playing for opposing teams in this Switzerland v Albania game.

Switzerland blew so many chances with Albania being a man down, but still hold out.

Can't see Albania getting out of the group with so many players on yellow cards and their captain suspended for their second match.

That's how Wales will win games. Beautifal free kick from Bale.

Lots of Welsh fans in the stands.

Skrtel elbows Vaughan in the face in the box, while trying to close him out for a goal kick.

Very, very lucky that wasn't a pen and a sending off.

With the AR about 2 yards away.

WTF they're on the pitch for is ANYBODY'S guess.

DREADFUL defending. It's like they think they're not allowed to tackle.

Croatia nick a 1-0 over Turkey...
Turks are in a tough group and need a miracle now.

Some type of revenge from that amazing match in 2008.

I can see Poland doing well. They, like Croatia, can cause the big teams problems and can beat most of the rest of the teams.

1-0 Germany. Goal was coming with Ukraine holding a high line.

    Off and running again.

The fashion of the German staff has now come to matching grey t-shirts and black slacks.

    Quite comfortable actually.

The Germans almost pull off an England. Neuer trying to be too clever there.

Germany kills it off with a goal from Schweinsteiger. If any of them had to score then I'm glad it's him.

    Good person.
