    ITV thinking it will be...

Hart, Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole, Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Young, Rooney, Welbeck

Not sure about Young or Milner myself but they might up their game. Then again, they might not.

I'm not dreading it all. I'm anxious but relaxed. If England are knocked out then so be it. There was never a lot of expectation in the first place.

That's probably correct, with the only possibility of a change being Walcott on for Milner from the start, though Roy will stick with his formula.. I also think Rooney finds another gear tomorrow as well..Welbeck should have a nice game..

getting a bit worried at the thought of that juve unbeaten record in seria a. 6 of the core players in defence and mf will be from that side, thankfully chielini is out so hopefully this disrupts their rhythm.

hope roy gets the gameplan right tonight. at times v ukraine we looked like we were waiting for them to score before we moved out of first gear. if we do this v italy, we will be 2-0 down and out of the competition before halftime.

Bit worried by the prospect of Parker against Pirlo, wanted a double pivot of Jones Parker but that leaves our captain or Rooney out. Can partly imagine what Roy & Parker themselves are going through :(. Anyways, we trust in England & Roy  With a little bit of luck & Balotelli insanity :D we can overcome them. Can't hit the slack button again.

The subject of the match will be the following....Can Italy be defeat by a team playing the classical italian football ? .......Ireland defeated Italy some month ago playing this way ,but that was a friendly against a team full of reserve.Italy will play in a 4/3/1/2 with montolivo behind the two strikers , his position will be the key of the match ,not pirlo's one.......don-t worry about balotelli, he will probably loose is head and do something stupid as usual......he is just too immature for this kind of match....On the other side , england will depend on rooney, wazza is the key to control pirlo....by putting pressure on him ,with the help of gerrard, and start the counter attack, and in the second period walcott or chamberlain could lead some dangerous attack too.....according to de rossi interview , their pace is feared in the italian camp.
Anyway the match will be a great tactical battle.

Need a big game from Rooney today. Even if things arent working for him offensively, it's important he doesn't allow too much time on the ball for Pirlo. Italy's diamond could make it very difficult for England as they are atheltic and able technically. Must say I worry about Cassano against our CBs.

    Come on England.
