Guiza should start the final, 4-5-1 with Cesc taking the other spot which I assume would be Villa's but he is now injured. If he recovers in time then Villa for Guiza.

Nice save from Saint Iker, then Puyol almost gets caught in possesion.

Dani Guiza misses a one on one with the keeper from the counter.

Russia had a good chance for a consolation goal but the shot was poor and the ref blows, game over. Spain-Germany final.

    FT Spain 3-0 Russia

Ramos had a brilliant game. Two great crossses that Torres should have put away, and tackled Yuri Zhirkov every time. Senna marked Arshavin out of the game. Iniesta and Fabregas gave a masterclass at how to pass the ball.

    Great display by Spain

Well done Spain....hope they win on sunday.

stand out performances from Senna, Fabregas, iniesta and Ramos.

Arshavin was poor - should fit into barca's team perfectly.

I was really impressed with Senna.

So glad that Spain made it to the final, let's just hope that they own Germany now.

Looks like Villa is out of the final Lets pray Torres steps it up.

Ps, Senna what a beast  player of the tournament for me. Had he been 5 years younger I'd be petitioning for us to sign him.

    Great game by Spain.

Didn't get to watch the game live but got to watch the replay. Lol, I had to tape paper across my screen to block out the score.

Cant believe we are in the final. As my dad has been saying from the start, PODEMOS.

I think if we play that way again we will win on sunday.

    Sweet

    I am so so excited

    Has that been confirmed?

Great to see Ramos play well again. Am I the only one who thinks Fabregas should start over either Xavi or Iniesta?

Or with, since Villa is out.. Or supposed to be out.
Play a 5man midfield, they'll need that extra force against the Germans. Thats what Turkey did.

If Villa is out, I imagine they'll just put him in and start with a five man midflield.

Also, as Youngstar said, I can't believe that ESPN is showing replays while running the score across the bottom of the screen every other minute. Had I waited for the replay, I would have been uber-pissed.

I learned my lesson during the Champions League. :D

I can't count how many games they've ruined for me with that idiotic scroll on the bottom of the screen. During the fall I literally have to tape my TV in the living room and bedroom just encase.

Same here, they ruined the Italy - France game for me.

I'm very happy for ikerman and ramos. me and my old man get to watch the games on tape delay on the evenings and he says real madrid should look into acquiring Silva.

I think guiza is capable enough to play starter along sides Torres and keep the team chemistry.

Yeah that's why I was asking about Villa. I think he should be there regardless, but if Villa is out, it should be a no-brainer.

That's ridiculous. And why do they even have that in the first place taking up screen real estate? Who really needs to know the pitching matchup of every baseball teams playing tonight? Didn't it used to only pop up twice an hour? Now it seems to cycle about 50 times over the course of a match.

Intriguing player. First of all, he runs his ass off, which goes very unappreciated unless you're called Makelele. Having said that, he wouldn't be a good fit for our system, he's not a pure winger and I just can't see him in a three-man midfield. He'd be a great player for a Spalletti 4-5-1, but I'm not sure where we'd put him.

Ah well.....at least we won. But I still feel f**ked.

a newspaper in england said of Ramos' performance:

'Iniesta was named man of the match, but it could easily have been Ramos, who kept charging up and down the right, showing as much naked ambition as the 200 Russian fans who ripped off their shirts and stood there in the teeming rain, willing Mother Nature to do her worst.'

Honestly, the MOTM could've easily went to Senna or Cesc as well.
