Horvath starts for Luton against Burnley. Late first half, leading 1-0, zero saves for Horvath.

Burnley score on their first shot on goal, according to the stat sheet. Short corner, bounce goes the way of Burnley, blasted shot into the far corner curling around a huge screen, don't think anyone could possibly have saved it. 1-1.

Horvath makes an actual save, though it was pretty easy. Burnley has taken a lot of off-frame shots.

Horvath has to get way up in the air to win a cross that he can barely keep on the right side of the goal line as he crashes to the ground. Nice contribution to preserve the tie.

    This thread was buried deep.

Anyway, Luton scores away after Coventry's defense shows why that team sucks so bad, 2-1.

This game may mean nothing in the end since it seems likely Coventry will get kicked out of the league since they can't play home games and don't have the money to fix their stadium.

It's become a typical Ch'ship game: Coventry attacks, cross the ball to no one since there are only three Luton defenders in front of goal. One of them heads the cross right into the path of a rushing Coventry AM who rebounds it back to one of the Luton guys who kicks it hard to another Coventry man who tries to send a ball in the area (where there is no Coventry player at all) only to send it outside instead.

I'm sorry but this is terrible, terrible soccer. A Luton forward tries to swing a shot and tries a full turn, but that takes long enough for the Coventry guy marking him to steal the ball, which he promptly sends into midfield to another Luton guy who immediately loses it by tripping on his feet and a Coventry guy kicks it out instead of trying a pass to one of his two free mates.

Very good intervention by Horvath there getting the ball in the jump and parrying it out of danger.

    ----

He's not had much to do, even though Coventry has circulated the ball in his area plenty. They don't have anyone able to shoot from distance, and Luton has flooded the area in front of Ethan with defenders.

Luton takes the initiative again. Coventry had possession and close to Horvath's goal for 15 minutes but could do nothing with it. That teams looks like a bunch of big guys who just learned to play soccer two months ago.

    ---

Horvath delivery about 50/50, which is not good considering how much space each man leaves on his mark.

I'm probably a fool for devoting more attention to this game than to the Juve and Dortmund ones, but Gio and Wes are known quantities to me. We need to find our starting keeper and soon.

Hard to evaluate Horvath in this one though, since Coventry is a terrible team that has no idea how to take shots. But Ethan has issues: he parries balls he should grab, his distribution is only average, and he takes his time to come out to reduce the angle.

He's lucky most teams in the Championship are MLS level.

Great reaction save by Ethan! Close range shot, quick reactions to send it over the bar for a corner.

All things considered, or our keepers abroad, right now it's between him and Cohen.

Horvath starting against Hull. No Vaugn Covill as he recuperates from surgery. Andy Dawson was named manager of Hull ... earlier today, it appears. So he hasn't yet had time to implement Berhalter's system.

Luton take a 1-0 early lead. Corner kick leads to shot off the crossbar, which unfortunately for Hull pings off a defender's shins into the goal while he had almost no time to react.

    Horvath a spectator so far.

Horvath pounces on a low shot that was definitely going wide. Good practice. We'll see if they score that a save.

Ripping long Hull shot by Slater for Hull - like 32 yards out - slightly deflected off Potts' head. Horvath had the original shot covered, didn't quite get his fingers to the deflection, bounces off the bottom of the crossbar ... and one yard clear of the goal line. Would have been a spectacular save given the late deflection of Potts, but Luton will take the good fortune of the near miss.

Henry Lansbury wonder goal from 30 yards out - after a good opportunity is well saved, a semi-clearance is taken first time by Lansbury slicing with power off the post and in. 2-0 Luton.

Hull with a big possession advantage, but five shots all off frame and only the one dangerous one off of the bar. Very clean from Horvath, though lots of longballs to the forwards instead of buildout play.

Horvath comes off his line strong to punch one away - knocks down two of his defenders in the process. Doesn't get it all the way cleared though, and ensuing play leads to a corner, which Horvath catches.

60 minutes now - still no shots on target for Hull. First shot of the second half a header that goes way wide. Horvath has come off his line a couple of times to take possession, but these were not difficult decisions.

Hull has taken the daring strategy of taking off their best attacker to make up a 2-0 deficit. But, new caretaker manager means new caretaker strategy.

Hull has 0 shots on goal, so Ethan had no official saves.

Nothing he could do to save the goal, clean header to the other post from a corner kick.

    ----

Luton forward bullies the Terriers' keeper who plays dead. A goal follows soon after, 1-1.

Like Luton's goal, it was a rebound from a defender so both are technically own goals.

Ref invents a penalty against Luton. 1-2, Terriers ahead.

Commentators going crazy, no penalty at all. Guess Luton didn't send the check or someone big had an events bet.

    ----

Adebayo makes it 2-2. Horvath had a rather funny interaction with the ref just before that. No saves yet for him, five(!) for Nicholls.
