Everywhere and Nowhere.....I'm the wind, baby.
    We're at #8

    But this:

"But with the surging popularity of options like NASCAR, extreme sports and softball..."

    Softball?

If you really want to inflate soccer's numbers, make sure you don't vote for the sports ahead of it (NFL, MLB, NBA, College Football, NHL, College Hoops, Racing).

But then I'd be lying. There's no way I could put down Bowling or WNBA and have any respect for myself left. ;)

You mean you don't like watching players like this?

The beauty of strategic voting. :D

Well, now that softball is out of the Olympics, I'm sure that everyone at BigSoftball.com is too deflated to stuff this poll.

Did you watch any of Germany's games in the recent UEFA women's tourney on FSC? Now we know what happened to all those East German...uh...nevermind.

I'm finding the NBA more and more irrelevant. It is too geared towards 12-18 year-olds. I am a huge fan of every local DC team (except the Nats, I'm still an O's fan), and he Wizards are the one I care the least about. I still went to a playoff game, but once they lost to Miami I didn't feel too bad about it at all. I think the postseason format of the NBA is what hurts it the most. 4/5 times there is no drama in the series because there are very few upsets. If they played 3 games series it would be much more exciting, but they insist on having a postseason which feels like it is longer than the regular season.
