Lars Unnerstall en Mohammed Kudus blinken uit, ook hoge cijfers voor PSV’ers

elftal van de week Lars Unnerstall en Mohammed Kudus werden beloond met een 8 voor hun optredens afgelopen weekeinde. Daarmee waren de Twente-keeper en de Ajacied de hoogst beoordeelde spelers van het weekeinde. In de topper tussen PSV en Feyenoord waren de PSV’ers Walter Benítez en Xavi Simons de uitblinkers. Zij kregen een 7,5.

Tijdens Feyenoord - PSV was ook Feyenoorder-aanvoerder Orkun Kökçü goed voor een 7. Ploeggenoot Alireza Jahanbakhsh maakte twee goals, maar speelde te kort om voor een beoordeling in aanmerking te komen. Bij het ietwat opgeleefde Ajax waren Steven Berghuis en Dusan Tadic na Mohammed Kudus twee andere uitblinkers. Zij kregen een 7,5.

Coming Sunday both PSV and Ajax can start with knowledge about the chance to gain terrain on one or both of the top two.
It's lucky for Ajax that Sparta sold their quality player Mijnans to AZ Alkmaar, who was decisive with two assists and a goal.

 

Pierre van Hooijdonk was pretty optimistic about Ajax against Union.

Timber on espn after the RKC match said RKC scored their first chance.

Lobete penetrated before the goal the defense at least two times with piss poor shots after that, and the goal was the result of him not shooting, but passing to someone who can put the ball in the net.

When Wijndal made that faulty pass, it took so many RKC players to pass the ball around to get it into position for scoring the goal that it in the end wasnot a Wijndal fault anymore, but a collective Ajax defense failure.
I dunno how good Union is, but being second in the BuLi and seeing how poor Ajax midfield and defense interact (remember the Excelsior match with them only having 20% possession, but coming into scoring position so often that they should have a lead of 3 goals) I really hope Pierre is right because of our coefficiency position, but I'm not feeling at ease tbh.

 

With Alvarez moving up to the midfield you have with Bassey a pure defender without much passing capability. So he better give the ball asap to Timber for the connection to the midfield.

Met videoScheidsrechter Pol van Boekel heeft zich zondagavond van zijn menselijke kant laten zien. Mohammed Kudus maakte namens Ajax de 4-0 tegen Sparta Rotterdam, waarna de Ghanees een eerbetoon bracht aan zijn overleden landgenoot Christian Atsu. Van Boekel besloot, ondanks dat Kudus zijn shirt over het hoofd trok, geen geel te geven.

Feyenoord supposedly with the easiest match, but that only can be said after the match to be true or not





PSV and FC Twente play a 6 pointer. Neither can afford to drop points.
Cocu sees opportunities against Ajax, taking hints from the Union match.

 

Again one sees that the opponent with little possession manages to have more shots on target than Ajax, as was the case with Excelsior and RKC, but woefull finishing qualities saved Ajax in all these matches.
That luck at some point is going to fail.

 

PSV is lucky to have Xavi Simons, otherwise they too would be limping further behind to Feyenoord.
